Our revolutionary spirit will save us, or we will perish...

Small bands of men in resolution, in absolute determination, giving themselves completely and saying "Europe shall live!" And they stood firm and faced the menace to Europe: its values, its civilizations, the glory of its achievement - all those things in mortal danger. And they stood firm, they faced it, they came together, and more and more ran it to their standards, and those hordes were thrown back. Again and again and again, our Europe lived in triumph because the will of Europe still endured!

My friends, today, just as much as in the past, we can meet the dark forces which in another way threaten our European life with eternal night. We can rally those forces, and in the end, we can prevail and we can triumph!

You have power over your mind - not outside events.

Realize this, and you will find strength.

It's hard to be in this world and make spiritual progress. Everything about this place drags you in the opposite direction and you have to fight hard and fight constantly to swim against that current trying to pull you under.

I've looked at what the world has done to me. How it has made me into a person that I don't always like, a person who is less than what I would like her to be. How it pulls me away, constantly, from the path I'd much rather be on. Sometimes I feel powerless against it.

This world is just illusion, but it feels real. We forget who and what we truly are. And we have to exist here and try to remember amidst a world that constantly fogs our memory. And every time you start to remember, "real life" comes along tries to make you forget.

Life piles upon you pain, suffering, and endless little hurts and disappointments. And each time, you become a little more bitter, a little more jaded, a little more cynical, a little meaner to the other people around you- all of whom are also being crushed under the weight of this world.

You forget who you are because of what the world has done to you. You say, "I can only be what life has made me!" And what does this life make out of all of us?

It takes great effort and strength of character and virtue to try to remain unaffected in your core by the things in this world that would twist you, corrupt you, and defile you. Can you remain a joyous, compassionate, loving person after everything you've been through? After everything other people have done to you? After everything fate has dished out to you?

What have you become? What has life made of you? What parts are really You and what parts are just grafted on by the vicissitudes of living in illusion?

Some people become nothing but those grafts of pain and suffering and if you peeled it all away, there would be nothing underneath. What a tragic fate for a human soul.

Don't let it be you. Hold fast to the memory of what you once were and can be again. Find what's left of You and cling tightly to it. Don't let life take away who You really are.
“Modernity: we created youth without heroism, age without wisdom, and life without grandeur.”

"One of the characteristics of modernism is that the soul is turned completely outward and cannot live with itself. You always need something to occupy you. People put things, wires in their ears even when they go for a walk, because they cannot do without music from the outside. There‘s no music inside their soul. So, they have to listen to music, to artificial music through wires as they walk. We have lost our sense of love of the quiet, of contemplation, of being alone. Because ultimately, when you‘re alone, you‘re always with God."

Julius Evola: Key Concepts
From Academic Agent's video by the same name

1. The Absolute
The metaphysical, transcendent Truth which is manifested in the inherited ancient wisdom of all civilized peoples and is higher than life.

2. Myth is truer than recorded history
The Absolute, since it does not belong to the profane, material world, is more accurately recorded in myth than it is recorded in events.

3. Esoteric knowledge
Esoteric knowledge is secret knowledge only for the select few as against the exoteric knowledge of the masses. Virtually none of Evola’s writings are intended for a mass audience. He viewed the plebian with absolute disdain, but rather he wrote for the aristocrats of the soul who seek something higher than the animal instincts. He explores some specific esoteric knowledge in the Hermetic Tradition and the mystery of the Grail.

4. The Four Castes
Priests, warriors, merchants, peasants. These were the four castes outlined by Hesiod, traditional Hinduism and ancient Persian writings. Evola believed that while the priest caste had dominated in the East, the West it was mostly the warrior caste which had prevailed. But both were infinitely preferable to rule by merchants.

5. Kali Yuga and the Four Ages
The Golden Age led by a warrior priest King, or a divine King, in a solar phase degenerates into a Silver Age where warriors have lost their transcendent status and now are mere military leaders who require the support of priest class who then come to take over and usher in a feminized lunar phase which then degenerates further into a Bronze Age led by the dominant merchant class which completely dissolves transcendent values into mere matter. This finally gives way to the Kali Yuga, the Dark Age, which Evola believed we are living through now. In the Kali Yuga all energies are downwards, any sense of transcendence is lost and society becomes entirely profane. Tradition and hierarchy have been entirely inverted before its final stage which is the rule of the peasants or mass man. By this stage all values are reduced to matter, machines, dysgenic egalitarianism, and the reign of abstract quantity.
