Let's have restraint and not jump to conclusions. It's too early to try and guess what has occurred here. There's a fair few theories which are all equally plausible.

Funny. The CIA instructed all Western media to confirm Prigozhin's death before Russian authorities had even arrived on scene, but yet won't come out and confirm it themselves.

This is an indication that the CIA is responsible for this assassination.

Biden and the CIA sow the seeds that Putin would kill Prigozhin. Just a month ago, they openly spoke about it during a news conference. This was to set the scene so that when the CIA did kill Prigozhin, blame would be placed at Putin.


"Biden and CIA Director Williams Burns spoke separately last month of the potential danger to Prigozhin after his actions, although somewhat in jest."

Speaking a week later, CIA Director William Burns said: "I think Putin is someone who generally thinks that revenge is a dish best served cold ... If I were Prigozhin, I wouldn't fire my food taster."

Again, it's still to early to make conclusions on this. But at the moment, this is my own personal theory.

1_ the Prigozhin so-called coup attempt was a far smaller incident than it was pained especially by "wishful thinkers" in the West, of course he made a mistake by showing his frustration with such an anti-state, anti-constitutional order stunt but Wagner's Belarusian redeployment put an end to the quarrel in a way that was beneficial to everyone, Shoigu remained Minister of Defense and Prigozhin remained Wagner head, just from Belarus as his military HQ, on the contrary the recent anti-Western coup in Niger angered the West even more, their hate for the former Wagner head knew no boundaries, his elimination became a top goal for them given he kept undermining Western elites' interests so heavily.
2_ the timing of the incident, it's ridiculous to think that Putin or the MoD would kill Prigozhin and Utkin in such a spectacular way, especially during a landmark BRICS summit, there were 100s of occasions to eliminate them in a simpler way (accident or ambush in Africa, Belarusian "opposition" operative in the high ranks of Belarusian army during Wagner training of Belarusian special forces,...), MI6 and CIA on the contrary are interested in further undermining Russian international position while such an important summit is underway also by reigniting tensions inside Russia.
