Just an idea btw but maybe the European Union as part of its ongoing ai watermarking/anti-disinformation campaign should probably consider regulating advertisement in a way where if you are generating an ad for a product without showing the actual product…
the way this could be enforced could be mostly dictated by proof of work more than anything: I don't think we should outlaw renders or artistic representations of objects, just make sure we don't allow slop to conquer every facet of art and advertisement
