they did tywin wrong

(idk if this counts as a spoiler)
First off am I weird for tywin being one of my favorite characters, I actually enjoyed his dynamic and character.
I feel as if he was one of the characters we were supposed to route for until he tried to have his own son killed.
And then they stripped him of all dignity by being shot dead on the shitter.
I didn’t have enough time to hate him between realizing he was gonna go through with killing his son and him dying. I was actually disappointed. anyone else or just me 😅

Anyone else notice how good the food and wine scenes in Game of Thrones always looked?

Okay, maybe it’s just me, but every time I rewatch Game of Thrones I end up getting hungry. The way they filmed people eating and drinking always felt so real.

Especially the tavern or dark room scenes like when characters are just tearing into bread, eating stew, or drinking from those metal cups. You can literally hear the chewing or slurping and it just makes everything feel so layered and alive. Even the sound of the cups clinking or wine being poured adds so much to the atmosphere.

And Tyrion… man, anytime he’s drinking wine, it feels like you can smell it through the screen. There’s something about those little moments like, him swirling the glass or casually sipping while talking that make the world feel so rich and lived-in.

The royal feasts were cool and all, but the smaller, darker tavern scenes hit different. You could almost taste the food even when it didn’t look that great.

What's your favorite food moment ?

Just watched 3x09, wow.

It's my first time watching game of thrones and I really didn't expect this plot twist, my friend who has already watched told me that every season's 9th episode was the most antecipated one and I can see why. I though the series was building up a big clash with the Lannisters vs the Starks at king's landing but now I have no idea where will the series head on from now on, I'm really excited about it but I'm watching it slowly, one episode a day.

Making the giants in Game of Thrones practical instead of 100 percent CGI was a great move. It made them more memorable.

Why does Cersei not have guards with her when she goes to visit the faith?

Through out the whole show she always has her guards with her. There is even a scene where she shows off she can control them to do what she wants where she has them spin around.

Why is it when she visits Margery in her cell in season 5 to gloat she comes completely unguarded? She then speaks to the sparrow by herself and he predictably turns on her and imprisons her. She knows their antics as they have now done this twice to her enemies.

I suppose you could chalk it up to hubris. She is arrogant and vain but she’s not an idiot? And going to back to her always having her guards with her who do whatever she says why would she not bring them now leaving the red keep into essentially the most dangerous place she can visit?

Do you think Catelyn’s opinion on Jon Snow would have changed if she knew the truth about his parentage?

I saw a TikTok comment saying that even if Catelyn knew Jon was Lyanna and Rhaegar’s son (and not Ned’s), she’d still “hate” him — not out of spite, but because she’d fear what his claim could mean for her own children’s safety.

Do you think that’s true? Would knowing the real story have changed anything for her, or would her loyalty as a mother always come first?

Hound.

I just watched the complete series of Game of Thrones. 52f.. In my defence, I was only diagnosed and medicated for adhd earlier this year , so before that I was always distracted. The last series was completely taken over by showing off special effects and the writing suffered to accommodate. But .. it did not take away the sadness of Hound dieing. He was my favourite character and I have no one to share this with because Im a bit late to the party 😅.

Made a game of the GoT books

Wanted to share my version of fan fiction. It's completely

free to play. It's kind of like a text adventure and takes place in King's Landing

You play as a noble from a lesser house. Lots of politics is the vibe i'm going for here.
