Does showing seconds in the Windows System Tray actually use more power?

On Windows, there's an option to show the seconds on the taskbar clock, but it comes with a warning that it might reduce battery life if you switch it on. LTT Labs decided to look into this to see just how much of a thing this really is, and they concluded that yes, it does actually affect bat

Governments are cracking down on emulation devices for promoting “piracy”.

Okay, but what isn’t an emulation device? Every PC, smartphone, and console is an emulation device.

But also, what about homebrew? Or systems like the TIC-80 that only exist through emulation?

Investor: Your AI company sounds very impressive. Are you open to investments?

Giant man who suspiciously resembles 700 Indian engineers in a trench coat: Yes.

I find it oddly comforting that tech corporations are now straight up advertising their vision of dystopian individualism where all your friends have been replaced by their chatbot.

With the current news of possibly dozens of AUR packages hosting a dangerous form of malware, we should probably once again, for yet more reasons, reconsider why so many people point newcomers to Arch-based distributions.

The amount of "just do this random AUR bro" is insane.

(EDIT: This is the mailing list post - https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-general@lists.archlinux.org/thread/7EZTJXLIAQLARQNTMEW2HBWZYE626IFJ/

More packages have been found since, and the story is unfolding.)
