🇳🇦 On a lighter note - Adolf Hitler Uunona wins local elections in northern Namibia, a former German colony.

Namibian politician Adolf Hitler Uunona has won re-election in his northern constituency, according to media reports. Uunona, who has long acknowledged the controversy around his name, said he is removing “Hitler” from his official identity documents.

The election took place Wednesday in the Ompundja constituency of the Oshana region, where Uunona has served as councillor since 2004. Although Namibia’s Electoral Commission has not yet released the official tally, Euronews reports he secured a wide margin of victory.

“My name is not Adolf Hitler. I am Adolf Uunona,” he told The Namibian. “I have seen people calling me Adolf Hitler and trying to associate me with someone I do not even know.”

Saying that his father named him without realizing the true meaning of it, since Namibia was a former German colony, a mistake he plans to ammend.

🇷🇺🤝🇸🇩 Military government of Sudan accepts Russian offer to build port/base at Port Sudan in exhange of arms to fight the rogue RSF militia.

The agreement would see the establishment of a Russian naval base in the Red Sea's Port Sudan, or another facility, that would house 300 personnel and dock up to four naval vessels, including nuclear-powered ones, according to Sudanese officials speaking to The Wall Street Journal.

From Port Sudan, Moscow would be well-placed to monitor maritime traffic to and from the Suez Canal. In exchange, the Sudanese officials said the country’s beleaguered military regime would get advanced Russian antiaircraft systems and other weaponry.
