Allegedly there’s a vocal faction of Canadian conservatives that really want the US to annex Canada. Whoever is pushing for this, it ain’t Americans. No offense, but most of us Americans just don’t think about Canada much at all.

We don’t want Canada (the landmass, the country) because we wouldn’t even know what to do with it, we have enough on our huge plate. And we don’t need more Indians, feather or dot.

I consider Canada (the nation) to be a very close sister nation to America, but they are very much their own nation, and we both have huge countries to call home. The idea that one would invade and annex another is so preposterous that it isn’t even realistic enough to be a joke. It’s only a fantasy within the minds of Canadian conservatives that want someone else, from somewhere else, to save them.

I wish Canadian nationalists the best of luck. Only they can reclaim their country.

This person, whom I won’t name, who is pushing this idea that Americans want to annex Canada, I think is doing so as a pretext to throw shade on Americans, because that’s what I see him doing. He needs to be reminded that Canadian Bacon was just a movie.
