One interesting thing to take away from the Daniel Penny trial — the White guy on trial for chocking out a wild negro in self defense — is that knowledge of martial arts can be used against you if you’re a defendant. I’m not saying “don’t learn martial arts” but that knowledge can be used against you, as in “you should have known you would chock him to death.”
