If there’s any lesson for us in this, it is that things are to be taught, handed down. They must be, for any sort of culture worth a damn to survive. Obligations exist beyond just feeding your family and plunking down to watch TV.

"Conservative" and "ethnocentric" should be interchangeable terms.

The fact that they aren't speaks to how successful the left has been in getting the right to accept that identity is a function of ideology.

Artificial Intelligence making music is actually a blessing in disguise, because it'll only replace the musicians that are easy to copy, that are generic, that lack a deeper sensibility that creates memorable and timeless art. AI will only fool listeners with a lower sensitivity for real art.

AI generated music is going to force anyone that even thinks about making music for a living to be a real artist instead of just a scenester pumping out generic crap that fits whatever scene they want to be a part of.
