Why the fuck was it dell? HOW WAS IT DELL!
We live in the most absurd timeline
However
It does kinda make sense. When you need fleet enterprise computers, you go to Dell. They make so many proprietary decisions because they are THE buisness supplier of computers.
And to be frank they make them in a way that is approachable to the idiot buisness man. So they have obscene sales amounts and so theyd probably be the first to realize that people do not want AI pcs, even if purely from fleet purchase emails asking about AI free products.

Having lived in the shadow of this particular university for at least 12 years (ironic), absolutely none of this surprises me at all.

A school in Texas has banned a Plato reading because it "has gender ideology." This sort of thing may seem kind of small potatoes to many of you (I assume most of you aren't philosophy majors studying in Texas), but I think it's demonstrative of a wider point.
The far right, despite all their retvrn rhetoric and claims to tradition is largely built on ahistorical ideas. The history, philosophy, literature, sociology, anthropology of the right, so far as it exists, is not based on any true understanding of how society is or was in the days of yore, but rather an aesthetic projection about what those periods were like, based on narratives long-since challenged.
The project of fascism, on a fundamental level, is not based on any concrete analysis or reflection of the world-as-is/was, but rather seeks to create a mythos about the world in order to retroactively justify its own imposition.

The worst part about this is they said "stop teaching plato or be forced to teach ethics to engineering majors at 8am" was their exact offer
I wonder how hard it would be to make the football pyre burn the school
