It's what happens when you aren't the lord of clan mors proper
Why the fuck was it dell? HOW WAS IT DELL!
However

It does kinda make sense. When you need fleet enterprise computers, you go to Dell. They make so many proprietary decisions because they are THE buisness supplier of computers.

And to be frank they make them in a way that is approachable to the idiot buisness man. So they have obscene sales amounts and so theyd probably be the first to realize that people do not want AI pcs, even if purely from fleet purchase emails asking about AI free products.

This just in, Lego City is incredibly based
Having lived in the shadow of this particular university for at least 12 years (ironic), absolutely none of this surprises me at all.

A school in Texas has banned a Plato reading because it "has gender ideology." This sort of thing may seem kind of small potatoes to many of you (I assume most of you aren't philosophy majors studying in Texas), but I think it's demonstrative of a wider point.

The far right, despite all their retvrn rhetoric and claims to tradition is largely built on ahistorical ideas. The history, philosophy, literature, sociology, anthropology of the right, so far as it exists, is not based on any true understanding of how society is or was in the days of yore, but rather an aesthetic projection about what those periods were like, based on narratives long-since challenged.

The project of fascism, on a fundamental level, is not based on any concrete analysis or reflection of the world-as-is/was, but rather seeks to create a mythos about the world in order to retroactively justify its own imposition.

The worst part about this is they said "stop teaching plato or be forced to teach ethics to engineering majors at 8am" was their exact offer

I wonder how hard it would be to make the football pyre burn the school
Serious answer:
Thats not done on campus anymore after it collapsed and killed 12 people. Theres a memorial to them.
Theres abunch of weird occult lore around the school. Basically theres a mythical figure called the 12th man, which embodies the spirit of the school.

The legend as I remember it, is that in tje old days of football the aggies had an injury, tje coach didnt have subs, and someone came down from the stands to fill in. Eg the 12th man.

On gamedays the 12th man is the audience who are as loud as possible for morale and to daze the enemy team. You can literally hear the stadium for miles.

It sort of evolved into a concept from there that someone is always willing to step in and be that little bit of extra support. Comradery. Unfortunately this has eroded over time.

This is why the bonfire accident killing specifically 12 people is so odd. The idea was to build it bigger every year, but in 1999 a cable snapped and the pile collapsed. The bonfire memorial is built with a ring that has 12 gates, each one memorializing a different student and facing their home town.

It used to be a prestigous place to go but as far as I can tell its become continued daycare for oil fund rich kids to stay insulated from "the woke poors" and to go drinking in college stations northgate district

Which is incredibly ironic given that "Farmers fight" is literally the endimg chant of the Spirit of Aggieland.
