Hello to the amazing Humanode community! As usual, we are here to share a recap of the latest news and events from the network. These weeks were quite fruitful for teams, so let’s point out some of the key updates.
The great news is, the Humanode core team has decided to hold a hackathon and the very first Humanode conference in May 2022. We do not yet have exact details on the event, it is still at the planning stage. It is worth noting the Humanode team reaches out to the community to hear your voice, and see if they need more fine-tuning or not. They would greatly appreciate it if you can answer a few questions in the form, the link to which you will find in this report below.
Moreover, the team has just announced the first Humanode mascot design competition, which starts today and ends on January 28th, 2022. They ask the friends to think of, and design the mascot for the first Humanode hackathon and conference. The winner, which will be chosen in one week, will win $500 and will be able to forever engrave his/her name in Humanode history as the creator of the first Humanode mascot. It is always a pleasure to see growing numbers in testnet stats. Humanode testnet V2 ‘Shamshel’, the 1st major upgrade that greatly improves the UI/UX, has just hit 1360+ validators (1369 at the time of writing). And this is just the beginning! Join the testnet, and immortalize your existence as one of the first human nodes in history!
In a recent development update, Humanode teams have shared what they’ve been working on over the past two weeks.
As for the network development, they added new interface TransactionManager, to make bio-authentication flow runtime agnostic, added user friendly logging, and dynamic-fee to inherent data providers. Also, they integrated EVM to current Humanode runtime, conducted successful tests of development environment in Truffle and of Metamask on Humanode network.
The team continues their work on the desktop application. These weeks, they restructured SSH tunneling, added Polkadot API, RPC provider, polkadot/typegen and ts-node, and bio-authentication status.
Considering crypto-biometric search and matching and liveness algorithms, they integrated Pytorch Lightning framework for liveness detection, refactored code and integrated motion analysis based liveness detection, added head pose model, and updated editorconfig file and configured the pylint.
Humanode's fresh blog post discusses crypto insurance and how Humanode revolutionizes it with private biometrics. Identity fraud will be reduced when no two different individuals can claim to be identical as the underlying liveness detection cannot be spoofed. Humanode presents a robust identification system for the crypto insurance industry. More details in the blog!

As for the network development, they added a noscript to update frontier fork, defined and kept EVM ChainId in the store, and shared inherent data providers.
Considering crypto-biometric search and matching and liveness algorithms, they are currently working on RPPG (Remote Photoplethysmography) based liveness detection approach. These weeks, they added a generator model for Dual Spoof Disentanglement Generation and digit recognition scenario for active liveness detection, as well as refactored head pose estimation and liveness detection part.
As for OAuth, the team added FaceTec SDK parameters and updated API, changed endpoints logic, fixed logic inconsistency in GET login, added SSH private key into CI and Consent Guard and API, and customized server IP address
Moreover, the team ported Aragon OS, Aragon ID and Aragon templates to Humanode chain and tested that it works with EVM.

Humanode raises $2 million while testnet hits 1,650 unique validators

Dear human nodes,
Today, we are glad to announce that Humanode has successfully closed its $2 million seed round. Led by Republic Capital, the seed round’s supporters included Tribe Capital, the Avalanche Foundation ecosystem’s fund Blizzard, Wintermute, GravityX Capital, Shima Capital, Genblock Capital, AU21 Capital, StaFi, and Polygon co-founders Jaynti Kanani and Sandeep Nailwal.
