Biweekly update on @Humanode vol.16
21st January — 4th February

Aragon OS on Humanode EVM, Testnet V2 hits >1500 unique validators, Humanode🤝 DEXs, Preparation for Humanode DAO ‘Vortex’ launch discussed, and more!

TL;DR
Hello, human nodes! Following our lovely tradition, we are here to provide you with a recap of projects’ news and updates of the past two weeks! This period was pretty fruitful for the teams and the community,
It is always a pleasure to see growing numbers in testnet stats. Humanode testnet V2 ‘Shamshel’, the 1st major upgrade that greatly improves the UI/UX, has just hit 1560+ validators (1569 at the time of writing). And this is just the beginning! Join the testnet, and immortalize your existence as one of the first human nodes in history!
In a recent development update, Humanode teams have shared what they’ve been working on over the past two weeks.
As for the network development, they added a noscript to update frontier fork, defined and kept EVM ChainId in the store, and shared inherent data providers.
Considering crypto-biometric search and matching and liveness algorithms, they are currently working on RPPG (Remote Photoplethysmography) based liveness detection approach. These weeks, they added a generator model for Dual Spoof Disentanglement Generation and digit recognition scenario for active liveness detection, as well as refactored head pose estimation and liveness detection part.
As for OAuth, the team added FaceTec SDK parameters and updated API, changed endpoints logic, fixed logic inconsistency in GET login, added SSH private key into CI and Consent Guard and API, and customized server IP address
Moreover, the team ported Aragon OS, Aragon ID and Aragon templates to Humanode chain and tested that it works with EVM.
Humanode’s fresh blog post discusses DEXs with Humanode-enabled private biometric checks. In a nutshell, Humanode combines cutting-edge liveness detection, multimodal biometric processing, and continuous proof-of-existence to create robust and fair market participants in DEXs. More details in the blog!
Other than that, the Humanode Fireside talk took place in their Telegram voice chat. The team discussed Humanode DAO ‘Vortex’, and how to prepare for its launch. Listen to the recording on the Humanode Podcast, and join the team on Wednesday for the next conversation!
Human nodes, that’s all for today! Have a great weekend!

In case you missed yesterday's Fireside chat about 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, here's the recording: 🎧
Humanode raises $2 million while testnet hits 1,650 unique validators

Dear human nodes,
Today, we are glad to announce that Humanode has successfully closed its $2 million seed round. Led by Republic Capital, the seed round’s supporters included Tribe Capital, the Avalanche Foundation ecosystem’s fund Blizzard, Wintermute, GravityX Capital, Shima Capital, Genblock Capital, AU21 Capital, StaFi, and Polygon co-founders Jaynti Kanani and Sandeep Nailwal.

“At the moment, crypto governance is a plutocratic nightmare fraught with whales and Sybil attacks. Humanode is laying the foundational infrastructure for robust, fully pseudonymous digital identities that will serve as a cornerstone of our increasingly immersive digital world,” said Alex Ye, managing partner of Republic Crypto.

Humanode co-founder Dato Kavazi said, “Sybil attacks are what stand between humanity and a completely new way of interaction with the world around us. It is not just a blockchain problem. Bots are a scourge of any high-level digital infrastructure and we are here to get rid of them in a private and decentralized fashion. By delivering a blockchain based on biometrically verified pseudonymous identities, we want to ensure that any systems built on top can be sure that nodes are unique, real, living and breathing human beings. Thank you, Republic and Alex Ye in particular, for having our back. Humanode welcomes everyone to join its endeavors and with rejuvenated strength, we press on forward into the untamed frontier of computer science.”

Humanode is the first crypto-biometric network where one human equals one node and brings Sybil resistance and innovative governance models to the crypto industry using biometric technology.

We are planning Humanode public sale and mainnet launch for summer 2022.

Dear Humanode community,

As the war rages in Ukraine we ought to remember that all life is precious and that we stand against any kind of violence. We express our deepest condolences to the families and individuals killed, harmed and displaced by this senseless war.

The Humanode team consists of individuals of various races, cultures and religious beliefs including Ukrainians, Russians and Belarusians. As the conflict broke our Slavic devs have demonstrated nothing but compassion, care and solidarity for each other.

We are aware that there are many Ukrainians and Russians in Humanode community. We hope that you are able to look beyond this imperialistic elitist war and lend a helping hand to one another.

As the firefights continue we ought to remember that in such times disinformation is your biggest enemy. For ordinary people there is no victory or benefit from war and everyone who participates eventually loses.

Stay safe, stay strong and stay human!
