"One may wonder what is the point of shedding light on this essence of Ghibellinism, the Grail's kingdom, and Templarism, other than to reestablish the truth before the previously mentioned misunderstandings and counterfeits. If we just consider the individual and some people, the symbol always retains an intrinsic value, which is indicative for a given type of inner formation. But to go from this to the notion of an order, of a modern Templarism, and to believe that even if it were to come to be, it would be able to exercise an influence directly and sensibly on the general historical forces that are dominant today—that is hasty. Even the Rosicrucians (the real Rosicrucians), back in the eighteenth century, regarded this attempt as vain. Moreover, even those who have received the 'sword' must wait for the right time to wield it, the right moment being only that in which forces, the power of which is still unknown owing to an intrinsic determinism, will encounter a real limit and the cycle will end. The right moment will be that in which, even before the most extreme existential situations, a desperate defense instinct rising from the deepest recesses (I almost said, from the memoire de sangc [blood memory]) will eventually regalvanize and give strength to myths and ideas connected to the legacy of better times. I believe that before this happens, a possible Templarism may play only an inner defensive role, in relation to the task of protecting the symbolic, yet not merely symbolic, 'solar stronghold.'

This will clarify the ultimate meaning of a serious and committed study of the witnesses and of the motifs of the Templar saga and of higher Ghibellinism.

Blood and Spirit will be the core elements of any Imperial project, not the petite and fragile ego-worship of the nationalists' cult of the "ethnic body" or the collectivist cause of revoltion and chaos. Blood is to be spilled, else it rots and festers like an open wound. Blood spilt in the name of the spirit is blood sanctified by the divine. Is the defence of the homeland compatible with the Imperium? Not only that, but one ideally shouldn't be without the other. The homeland, as a defined territory comprising a biologically, culturally and linguistically homogeneous people, is a mundane representation of the metaphysical Feminine of multiplicity, relativity and becoming; the Imperium in turn is a manifestation of the metaphysical Masculine of oneness, absoluteness and being. The Imperium, as One, includes multiple homelands like a King has a harem, or a wife and multiple concubines.

In other terms, imagine a great Empire which doesn't recognise any internal cultural difference or distinction, in which all peoples are interchangeable with one another, because they're all in the same Empire. How different would it be from the amorhpous multicultural society pushed by globalism? On the other hand, the homeland without an Imperium lacks protection, guidance, a polar centre to refer to.

This is why, to destabilise Europe two centuries ago, a forced sense of national identity was pushed, in anti-imperial function. These identities, although not really ethnically homogeneous, weren't invalid per se, their blame rather lay in their uncompromising hostility, at once, to the existing empires and to their internal, more "regional" identities, in favour of a bureaucratic, centralised, Jacobin state.

It should not be so controversial in the Right to be against this modern nationalism as described above, and to be in favor of the traditional imperialism. It is no mere coincidence that the Left continues to use that word to this day to designate their enemies. The 'nationalists' trying so hard to revive 19th & 20th century ideologies, whether they realize it or not, are only really continuing one tradition: that of the modern Right to play by the rules set by the Left. The transcendence of blood and soil they claim nationalism offers is actually to be found in the imperialism of their pre-modern ancestors.
