The brain, like nearly the entire body, is more than half water
Roughly 75% of the brain is "built" of water. But, if we try to dry it out, we get a 60% fatty residue.
That's why some scientists call the brain cheese - it's mostly made of water, but the dry residue is fat🧠

Our lungs have one interesting superpower.
More specifically, the entire respiratory system.
Breathing is the only process that can operate both automatically and be controlled by humans.
What does this mean?
Well, you've noticed that we don't have to take every breath "manually." However, at the same time, we can safely perform some Indian breathing exercises.
Wouldn't it be easier to give control over this process completely to the brain🤔
Absolutely not!
After all, in addition to how to breathe, the lungs are also involved in the process of sound formation. Yes, and breathing sometimes needs to be regulated manually.

▫️ Mortality in Russia in 2021
According to the latest United Nations data, Russia in 2021 ranked sixth in the world both in the total number of deaths (2.459 million people) and the mortality rate (17 deaths per 1,000 inhabitants). By the way, it is interesting that the leaders are not African countries, and the European countries (probably due to the high mortality rate of elderly against the background of covid): the first 5 places were taken by Bulgaria, Monaco, Latvia, Serbia and Lithuania. And we are 6, and Ukraine is 7
What is really frightening is mortality of men of working age. Of the men who survive to 15 years do not reach 50 182 out of a thousand, and up to 60 - 340 out of a thousand, that's 28 and 22 places respectively (out of more than two hundred). The places seem to be not as bad as in the previous case, but here we are ahead of even most African countries. We shared our place with Burkina Faso in the male mortality rate from 15 to 50, and from 15 to 60 with Cameroon and Guyana. We were be

A 22-year-old tourist woke up in pain and noticed that her ear and face were swollen.
She visited the local hospital, where she was prescribed antihistamines, but they did little to clear up the swelling.
By the time she returned to the Netherlands, part of her ear had turned black. Doctors discovered that she had been bitten by the Mediterranean recluse spider (lat. Loxosceles reclusa), whose venom, in high concentration, caused tissue necrosis.
Plastic surgeons removed the dead skin and used cartilage from the woman's ribs to recreate her ear.
