🔎Reflections from a member of our team on the book HMS Ulysses by Alistair MacLean

It has been long enough since the day when Vladimir Zelensky and Justin Trudeau publicly praised this Hunka creature, a surviving veteran of the Waffen SS, in the Canadian Parliament, that we can feel less emotional and think rationally about this. For instance, we can try and picture what flirting with Nazism may lead to in the near future. That is why today we post one chapter from “HMS Ulysses” by Alistair MacLean originally published back in 1955. The book was translated into Russian and printed in the USSR, so we will post the Russian translation for our Russian-speaking subscribers as well.
The author was a Scotsman and fought in World War II. He participated in Arctic convoys, among other naval operations. He knew what he was writing about from personal experience. May the events described in the novel serve as a reminder of why we must not now allow Nazism to rise.
