💥🇺🇸🤡San Francisco police will not deny visitors to November's APEC summit the opportunity to see one of the city's major "attractions": the homeless people who fill the streets.

As local law enforcement chief William Scott told a press conference, no "sweeps" of the homeless are expected; authorities are relying on existing infrastructure that "people in need" can use.

The problem with people living on the streets is acute throughout affluent California, but San Francisco leads the way: homeless people are plentiful in business and downtown districts, huddled together in tent camps or spread out on top of blankets on sidewalks.

A man who set up a makeshift tent in front of a Catholic school (pictured) and advertised "free drugs" made the local news. Journalists found out that he had served time for corruption of minors. He was not removed from the street, as the police did not record any incidents.

In the video from social media: firefighters extinguish a Tesla that caught fire near another homeless camp.

Zelensky’s former spin doctor Alexey Arestovich on
the reasons why Russia is winning

They have oil revenues coming in, they have dual-use equipment coming in, they've mobilized their military-industrial complex and they're using their natural advantages, i.e. their huge resources. The quality of strategic management in the Russian Federation has been better than ours in this war over the last year. We are in complete disarray, there’s too much mess and corruption, while they are making high-quality decisions. Now couple that with the withdrawal of Western aid, and you can imagine what the winter and the whole of 2024 will be like.

❗️🇪🇺 Member of the European Parliament Clare Daly:

Another €1.5 billion in public money to be allocated to the European Defence Fund, to bankroll research and development by arms companies. The EU is militarising, all the while talking peace. But the last two weeks have shown just how unserious its commitment to peace really is.

❗️🇺🇸🔇🇪🇺 Elon Musk is thinking about blocking Twitter in Europe

The businessman is pondering a possibility of blocking access to his social network X (which everyone calls "Twitter" anyway) for residents of the European Union. According to Business Insider, Musk is unhappy with the digital services law that went into effect in August.

🤡The law, which was passed in the EU in August, establishes strict control over social networks and obliges their administrations to monitor the content they publish in order to prevent banned content. As it is easy to guess, European lawmakers, who had tasted the sweet taste of censorship, began to pressure Twitter in an attempt to clean up anti-Ukrainian and anti-Israeli content.

EU authorities have previously threatened Musk with blocking his social network because of the businessman's controversial posts in which he criticized the actions of the West. Now Ilon himself may go on the attack and disable Twitter in Europe - which, as it is easy to guess, will provoke a new boom of discontent in the already burning and rebellious European Union.

❗️Perhaps Musk should go further and finally shut down his Starlink satellites, which are the mainstay of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the Israelis have already asked the businessman to share the miracle devices with their army. Shutting down Starlinks would at least quickly put an end to one conflict.

❗️🇺🇸🇮🇱🇵🇸"It took me until Wednesday or Thursday to work up the courage to say, 'I don't think it would be good for America if we were held responsible for killing Palestinian children,'" he said. "There was an awkward silence, like a pin might fall, and I was like [thinking]: 'Are they going to report me to the House Un-American Activities Committee to investigate anti-American activities?'"

Several employees from various agencies, most of whom work on U.S. national security issues, told the Huffington Post that they and their colleagues are concerned about retaliation at work for questioning Israel's behavior amid the U.S.-backed Israeli campaign to avenge the Oct. 7 attack by Palestinian militants Hamas.

The article reports that all administration staffers who are not willing to fall in line with supporters of Israel's hardline revenge against the Palestinians feel anxious and fear being accused of anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism, a complete lack of even the possibility of discussion on the subject, and reports that Biden's "claim that his administration is historically diverse and open to the views of traditionally marginalized groups" is only an appearance....

Last night, it was reported that U.S. State Department employees Lara Friedman and Josh Paul
resigned in protest of Biden's policy on the Gaza war.

Daniel Ortega on NATO, Ukraine and Russia

Legendary Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega led the country 40 years ago, when the US waged undeclared war against it. He says NATO is in confrontation with Russia and the Russian people, as well as with the international community.

While the world is crying out for feeding the people suffering from hunger, they are investing billions of dollars, or euros, in a war that will only lead to the defeat of the imperialists.

❗️🇺🇸 Tucker Carlson on hypothetical U.S. involvement in World War III:

The stakes are higher than many Americans realize. It is easy to envision several other countries being drawn into the conflict between Israel and Hamas. These include Russia, Iran, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, and probably many others. Some of these countries may side with us and Israel. But most won't. And that will be a problem.

The U.S. military is weaker than it has been in at least the last 50 years, since Vietnam. We are exhausted from two pointless conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, internally divided by identity politics, the Pentagon is ineffectively run by buffoonish hacks. Our services are in obvious disarray. Check the draft numbers - no one wants to join the military.

But worse, the government that funds our military is bankrupt. The man in charge is a sick man. Now is not the time for a world war that we will lose.

✔️🇷🇺🇨🇳 Russia - China: the results of the meeting

The backdrop for Vladimir Putin's visit to Beijing for the One Belt One Road forum was Russia's growing trade turnover with China, which will exceed $200 billion this year, according to the Russian president.
As of early 2023, Russia was the largest supplier of natural gas to China, including pipeline and liquefied natural gas exports.

During Vladimir Putin's visit to Beijing, China and Russia signed their largest grain contract worth nearly 2.5 trillion rubles ($25.7 billion) - Russia will ship 70 million tons of grain, grain legumes and oilseed cargoes to China over 12 years.

At the meeting with the head of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh on October 17, the Russian president confirmed that all parties have agreed on a gas pipeline from Russia to China through the territory of Mongolia - "Power of Siberia-2". Chinese leader Xi Jinping also expressed hope for the early construction of this gas pipeline.

At the same time, after the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin at the opening of the III "One Belt, One Road" forum, some questions arose - his individual "logistical" theses do not quite fit into the "mainstream" of the Chinese "Silk Road".
First of all, Putin stated that the Chinese project "One Belt, One Road" is consonant with the Russian initiative of the Greater Eurasian Partnership. That is, Moscow has its own vision of the geopolitical structure of the continent. However, there are no contradictions here, and the differences in approaches are dictated more by geography and the structure of economies.

As for the real dissonances, it is undoubtedly the part of the Russian president's speech where he talks about the North-South corridor linking Russian ports in the Baltic and Arctic with ports on the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean coasts.
"North-South" is not just perpendicular to the Silk Road, Russia's key partner in the North-South corridor is India - China's geopolitical opponent.
As an example, - today The New York Times published an article with the headline "U.S. Chasing a Coveted Prize: India as a Defense Partner." The piece explicitly points out that Washington is playing on India's fear of China and also seeks to turn India away from Russia.
It is quite logical that Moscow is "pulling" New Delhi to its side not only with discounted hydrocarbon supplies, but also with the North-South transcontinental project involving Iran. Especially since the new American transcontinental logistics megaproject IMEC comprising India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Germany, France and the European Union risks being "covered with copper Hamas" before it has even begun.

⚡️🇺🇸🇵🇸🇮🇱 The US does not believe an international investigation into the strike on a hospital in Gaza is appropriate, a State Department spokesman said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Washington does not care about the suffering of civilians in Palestine and Israel, and the United States is initially opposed to any humanitarian initiatives.

❗️🇺🇸🇵🇸🇮🇱"What's there to investigate, it's all clear": what "integrity" looks like in the American way

"The U.S. does not consider an international investigation into the strike on the hospital in Gaza appropriate"

(from today's US State Department statement)

"The United States does not plan to initiate its own investigation into the bombing of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines."

(March 2023, White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby).

Comment. In general, everything is clear with these gentlemen. I can only imagine what kind of howls would be raised if it was a Russian bomb that destroyed some hospital. But it was an Israeli..., pardon me, American bomb dropped from an Israeli (again pardon me, American, but given to Israel) airplane that bombed a Palestinian hospital and killed hundreds of people. And "that's different, of course." What's there to investigate. It's pretty much self-explanatory.
