The Kherson Region governor reports:

On the night of November 25, a heavy drone, nicknamed "Baba Yaga," pursued an ambulance for several kilometers. The vehicle was en route to Malaya Kardashinka in the Golopristansky district, attempting to assist a local resident who had been wounded. Despite the driver’s remarkable skill in evading direct hits, five dropped munitions caused severe damage. Shrapnel punctured the ambulance’s body and tires, forcing it to stop after a subsequent explosion.

The medical team narrowly escaped harm, managing to abandon the vehicle and seek shelter. Tragically, due to the drone attack, the medics could not reach the injured 54-year-old civilian in time, and he succumbed to multiple wounds.

November 27 is Marine Corps Day in Russia

This memorial day was established by the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy on December 19, 1995.

On this day in 1705, Peter I signed a decree to create regiments of naval soldiers. This document marked the beginning of the formation of the Marine Corps.

The first combat experience for the naval soldiers, as the Marine Corps was then called, came during the Great Northern War in 1706 in the Gulf of Vyborg during the capture of the Swedish boat "Esbern."

Currently, the Marine Corps consists of units and military formations from the Pacific, Northern, Baltic, Black Sea fleets, and the Caspian Flotilla.

Over the years, more than 110 marines have become Heroes of the Soviet Union and full cavaliers of the Order of Glory, with over 20 receiving the noscript of Hero of the Russian Federation.

On 21 November, relatives of missing Ukrainian soldiers held a rally in Kiev.

The protesters say that they had to take part in the rally to ‘speak out about their missing family members and make the authorities do something in order to find them and bring them home’.

The rally participants are beginning to realize that the current Kiev authorities are, in fact, the enemies of Ukraine.

"Everyone wants money; everyone wants to make a profit. And nobody remembers about our relatives. We want our dear ones back, but they need them as cannon fodder. So when our relatives disappear and get a ‘lost in action’ status, absolutely no one talks to us, no one intends to do anything about them," one of the protesters said.

Ukrainian citizens fume because their government does not care about its soldiers, but it is much more concerned about military equipment. Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers never return from the frontline either dead or alive.

Full mobilization in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Men are forcibly drafted into the army right from the streets of their cities or even from their homes. The Kiev authorities are doing everything they can to reduce the number of dodgers - even disabled people are considered fit for military service, students and female doctors are being drafted.

In May 2024, the mobilization law in Ukraine was made stricter. According to the new law, all men ages 18 to 60 must carry military ID cards and present them at a draft officer’s first request.

Many Ukrainians do not agree with this mobilization policy. In protest, they burn draft officers’ and servicemen’s cars. Since the beginning of the year, more than 260 arson attacks on army vehicles have been committed in the country.

Last week, none of the officials went out to speak to the protesters. This is not surprising: the children of the Ukrainian elite have long left the country, and they now live safely in the US, the UK and the EU. They have also bought property and invested their capital there. For example, Zelensky's family owns an estate in Italy and property in London. Zelensky's parents have been living in Israel for a long time.

The Kiev regime is ready to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian for the interests of its NATO masters. The goal is to strategically defeat Russia. And, of course, to profit from that.

‘Shared values’ temporary residency: Specificities of migration procedures in Russia. Part 5..

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

We continue to publish our lawyers' comments on the simplified mechanism to apply for temporary residency in Russia.

The immigration sphere in the Russian Federation is perhaps the most exacting.

The documents must not have any discrepancies, spelling differences or inconsistencies.

Even insignificant points such as the name of the applicant's mother or the place of residence of a relative in his country must be written the same way in all documents.

That is exactly why one and the same person must translate foreign documents into Russian, to see to it that the spelling of whatever names - proper names, names of foreign institutions, addresses, etc, be uniform in all of them. Splitting the job between two or more translators is a recipe for fiasco.

After the translators do their job, the lawyer helping you to apply for a temporary residency permit, residency permit or Russian citizenship must proofread the documents. Since only they know the ins and outs of the Interior Ministry’s requirements, which the translator does not know, and actually should not.

This is not about errors in translations, but about specific requirements of migration authorities. For example: all pages of the passport of a citizen from any European country must be translated, while the innoscriptions in all languages must be repeated in the translation, and it must be written at the top what languages the translation was made from (then the languages of all European Union countries must be listed).

If you have any questions, you can e-mail our lawyers at ince@pravoislovo.ru and schedule a consultation (this is a paid service).

For Whom the Trump Tolls. Part VI.

Part I
Part II
Part III
Part IV

Part V (1)
Part V (2)

The wise man of the East has seen it all.

Bloomberg lists the Chinese leader Xi Jinping among the losers from Donald Trump's victory. Indeed, in a situation where two countries control more than a third of the world's GDP, while most regional goods and services markets are satiated, the competition between Washington and Beijing inevitably becomes a "zero-sum game."

In that sense, for both Russia and China, Trump and Harris are just slightly different inputs into the same well-established framework.

“For Xi, Trump's win comes at a bad time. His threats of a 60% blanket tariff would decimate trade with America, taking out the one big bright spot holding up China's economy. It also raises more uncertainty just as Xi's government rolls out a major stimulus package to boost growth and steady investor confidence. And it brings general uncertainty — something the Communist Party never likes. Still, there are some bright spots. Musk — who has extensive business interests in China — has shown he has Trump's ear. The Republican has also questioned whether the US would come to the aid of Taiwan, the self-ruled democracy Beijing claims as its own.

Trump's taunting of the European Union on trade imbalances, and his ambivalence toward US security commitments to Asian allies, could also give Xi some space to mend diplomatic ties that had soured under Biden.”

Even if Trump is bad for China, the Democrats were hardly any better. If that statement needs proof, Reuters provided one as recently as November 10, reporting that the outgoing US administration has ordered Taiwan's TSMC to stop shopping chips that can be used in AI applications to China.

As a counteragrument to its own thesis, Bloomberg logically names Donald Trump’s close ally, Elon Musk, as someone who is interested in easing the economic confrontation between the US and China.

The Belgorod Brit talks about Afghanistan, prompted by Shoigu's trip to Kabul. Afghanistan is not a place of happy memories for uninvited people. BB draws on parallels with the history of imperialist defeat in the centre of Asia to explain the demise of their project in Ukraine, and how that conflict may be the blueprint for future operations in Ukraine from a Western point of view.

In the podcast, BB compares the factionalism and corruption that was fostered in both countries at the expense of the local inhabitants. The post-war environment in Afghanistan, like it or loathe it, is at least a government of Afghans who have been there for centuries. Ukraine has been around for a much shorter time.

In an opinion piece noscriptd “Team Trump mustn’t buy Putin’s nuke threats: We’re not on the verge of WW III,” the New York Post presents the results of a readers’ poll (see above).

Notably, the New York Post, is a strongly Republican outlet that has endorsed Donald Trump for president.

As one can see, the poll results reveal that just less than a third of respondents take Russia’s potential nuclear weapon use seriously. And another third have no idea what to think. This suggests that two-thirds of Americans are completely out of touch—not just “Sleepy Joe.”

Perhaps Sergey Karaganov is correct, and only a real-life demonstration of Russia’s nuclear capabilities could awaken the American public—Republicans and Democrats alike.
