📲 Designing Arabic Apps: What to Know About RTL Layouts
🔹 Mirror Layouts, Not Just Text
Icons, navigation, and gestures should flip too (e.g. back button)
🔹 Typography Matters
Arabic fonts have unique proportions and flow.
✅ Use legible, culturally appropriate fonts like Cairo, Noto Sans Arabic
🔹 Align Right, Not Center
Default alignment should be right for text and elements.
📝 Forms, headings, and paragraphs should feel native to the reader.
🔹 Watch Out for Icon Directionality
Directional icons must be mirrored.
🔁 Arrows, progress indicators, and sliders should respect RTL flow.
🔹 Images May Stay LTR
Lifestyle/product photos often remain left-to-right to preserve intent.
🔹 Language Impacts UI Density
Arabic text can take more vertical space—adjust line height and padding accordingly.

🧭 User Journeys vs. User Flows: What’s the Difference?
Both are essential UX tools—but they zoom in on very different things.
📌 User Journeys = Big-picture thinking. They map the full experience across time and touchpoints—emotions, thoughts, and behaviors included.
Example: Searching for a new doctor, checking reviews, booking an appointment, and finally visiting the office—all across different platforms.
📌 User Flows = Laser focus. They show the exact steps a user takes within a product to complete a task.
Example: Logging into a patient portal and checking lab results from your first visit.
When combined, journeys and flows offer both macro and micro views—a must for truly user-centered design.

✍️ Is your sign-up form driving users away?
A good form doesn’t just collect info—it converts. Here are 🔟 UX practices to improve your sign-up experience:
✅ Use top-aligned labels – They’re easier to scan and faster to fill.
✅ Avoid placeholders as labels – They disappear and frustrate users.
✅ Group related fields – Chunking helps people process info faster.
✅ Use input masks – Format things like phone numbers automatically.
✅ Give instant error feedback – Don’t make users guess what went wrong.
✅ Show password requirements upfront – No more trial and error.
✅ Let users show/hide passwords – Mistakes happen, let them verify.
✅ Avoid optional fields – If you don’t need it, don’t ask.
✅ Use progress indicators on long forms – Show users where they are.
✅ Don’t auto-advance fields – It’s more disruptive than helpful.
✨ Small UX tweaks → Big impact on sign-ups

There are two styles to choose from:
🪞 Regular – versatile and adaptive, offering full support for behavior and readability
🫧 Clear – more transparent, ideal for bright media backgrounds, though it may require dimming for better contrast
❗️They should never be mixed, as each has its own characteristics and specific use cases.

Design for EU? Be sure you're EAA-ready✅
Starting June 28, 2025, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) changes the game for digital products across the EU.
If your app, website, or self-service terminal isn’t accessible, you might be non-compliant — and out of the market. This isn’t just about regulations — it’s about building inclusive experiences for everyone♿️
What you should check:
✅ Color contrast ratio
✅ Keyboard functionality
✅ Multimedia features
✅ Headings and labels
✅ Support screen readers
Though the EAA and EN 301 549 currently require WCAG 2.1, it’s expected they will be updated to include the WCAG 2.2 version.
👉 Understand what the EAA means for your product — and what to do next:
