Inside Russian diplomacy: what’s behind the headlines? ⭕️

Last Friday, the InteRussia journalists from Latin America visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation — one of the key stops in their program.

The participants met with Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian MFA, who shared her perspective on the current challenges in international relations and the evolving role of media in global diplomacy.

What did the fellows get to experience first-hand?

⭕️ They asked all their most pressing questions about today’s world politics;
⭕️ had an open and sincere exchange with a leading voice of Russian diplomacy;
⭕️ and even heard a few exclusive insights.

Such meetings give our fellows a rare opportunity to engage directly with Russian diplomacy — not from the news, but from the people who create them!

The InteRussia fellowship for journalists from Latin America is implemented within the framework of the New Generation program of Rossotrudnichestvo and with the support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.

Inside the White Coats: the Workdays of Doctors 🩺

Our doctors’ days are full of energy and learning — they jump into real medical work, face new challenges, and grow with every patient they meet.

In our program, doctors come from diverse and highly specialized areas — including fields of dentistry, neurophysiology, medical engineering, radiology, neurosurgery, and integrative medicine.

Their days are full of meaningful work: from collaborating closely with experienced supervisors to participating in intense clinical sessions, workshops, and case discussions.

It’s a space where theory meets practice, and every moment is an opportunity to sharpen skills and deepen knowledge 💉

For two inspiring weeks, our InteRussia medicine fellows - doctors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, China, Uganda, Chile, and Ethiopia - immersed themselves in a unique learning journey.

Our fellows gained hands-on experience under the expert guidance of Sechenov University professors and clinicians. They mastered advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical techniques that will shape their future careers.

Throughout the internship, there were valuable meetings, discussions, and cultural immersion into Moscow’s rich history and traditions 🪆

For many participants, this experience was more than just professional development — it was a chance to grow personally, build lasting connections, and truly become part of a global medical community. They showed great dedication and enthusiasm, and we are proud of all they have achieved.

InteRussia Fellows at BRICS School 2025 🌟

This week, our InteRussia fellows in international relations took part in the BRICS International School: New Generation — a flagship educational and outreach project of the BRICS Expert Council – Russia.

Held in Moscow from October 28 to 31, the School brought together over 100 participants from 38 countries across the BRICS and the Global South — young researchers, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and public leaders united by the spirit of cooperation and dialogue.

The event opened with a welcome address by Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Russia’s BRICS Sherpa, who highlighted the crucial role of youth in fostering trust and mutual understanding, noting that “BRICS cultivates a new generation of thinkers and practitioners.”

On the second day, our fellows visited HSE University, one of Russia’s leading research and educational centers, where they immersed themselves in its academic atmosphere and exchanged ideas with peers from around the world.
