Shaping Nuclear Tomorrow 😁

The journey of our nuclear specialists is far from over — but one major milestone is now behind them. After two intensive weeks in Moscow filled with deep-dive sessions, hands-on modeling, and the kind of “lightbulb moments” they’re ready to move forward.

So what exactly did the fellows explore?

🔺Forging a nation’s nuclear future
🔺Tools and models that show where low-carbon systems are headed and why nuclear matters
🔺The real economics of clean energy
🔺Non-electric applications for nuclear energy
🔺The world of SMRs

A highlight of the program was the open discussions with Maria Oseeva, Head of International Nuclear Infrastructure Projects at Rosatom International Network, and Sergey Brilev, journalist and President of the Global Energy Association, where participants delved into not only the “how” of nuclear development but also the “why.”

And the fellowship is only gaining speed. Ahead is St. Petersburg, new expert panels, and the long-awaited visit to the Leningrad NPP. Keep following — the most exciting insights are still on the way. 👍

The InteRussia fellowship in nuclear technologies is implemented with support from the ABS Electro Charity Foundation and the Presidential Grants Foundation.

This weekend glows with a special light — it’s the birthday of our kind-hearted teammate, Tanya 😍

A person who balances professionalism with genuine care, making our fellows, partners, and the entire team feel seen, understood, and supported.

In the world of engineering fellowships, Tanya is our North Star: attentive, precise, and always ready to guide the way. Thanks to her, participants progress through their projects not just efficiently, but with a sense of genuine care — as if someone quietly clears every obstacle for them.

She also brings her “interpreter magic” to conferences, excursions, and events, connecting people and creating moments where communication becomes a shared space of curiosity and cooperation.

May your year ahead be full of ideas that excite you, opportunities that let you shine, and a quiet kind of happiness that wraps around you like a warm, familiar hug💖

How InteRussia Unites Young Minds Shaping Global Affairs 📚

What stays with you after an intense academic journey — the knowledge you gained, the connections you built, or the perspectives that reshaped your thinking?

This autumn, Moscow became a meeting point for young IR researchers from Afghanistan, Belarus, Brazil, India, Mauritius, Mexico, Pakistan, Serbia, and Tanzania. What began as an academic program quickly turned into something more — thoughtful debates, bold questions, and new lenses on the world.

Here’s what shaped their experience:

As tradition goes, the fellowship centered on scientific research developed under the guidance of leading experts from MGIMO Institute for International Studies.

The fellows took part in the BRICS International School, exploring emerging global dynamics and exchanging ideas with peers from around the world.

A highlight of the program was an in-depth discussion on global politics and strategic thinking with Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and Dmitry Trenin, Academic Supervisor of the Institute of World Military Economy and Strategy at HSE University.

Visits to the Russian International Affairs Council, RT Headquarters, and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology offered a closer look at how ideas move from analysis to media narratives and technological solutions.

Beyond сlasses, fellows immersed themselves in Russia’s rich culture and history through the Tretyakov Gallery and the ballet "Ruslan and Lyudmila."

The fellowship may have ended, but the spark it started is still going strong. Ideas are bouncing, friendships are growing, and the next adventures are already on the horizon.

Keep an eye out — the fellows’ research stories are coming soon!🪶

The InteRussia fellowship in international relations is implemented by ANO Mezhdunarodniki in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and the MGIMO Institute for International Studies with support from the ABS Electro Charity Foundation and the Presidential Grants Foundation.
