📌The first point is the REA by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

The REA by the Ministry of Energy of Russia is a unified state information and technical complex that is an important element of the state system of informational and analytical support aimed at sustainable energy development and greater energy efficiency of the national economy.

There our fellows met with Aleksey Kulapin, Chief Executive of REA of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, who presented the Russian energy strategy and discussed with the participants formats of cooperation between Russia and Latin American states in the energy sector, the nuclear energy market, and emerging technologies issues.

📌Our next stop today is the Global Energy Association.

The Global Energy Association on the Development of International Research and Projects in the Field of Energy is an NGO established to promote and support innovations in the field of energy, and to foster international cooperation. Founded in 2002, the organisation works as the operator of the Global Energy Prize.

Our fellows in energy sector were welcomed by:

📌The third stop on our way is the Moscow Department of Transportation.

The Moscow Department of Transportation develops and implements the city's policy on transportation and road transport infrastructure, providing transportation-related public services, managing government transportation assets, and promoting transportation safety within the city of Moscow.

There, the participants attended the demonstration of charging stations for electric buses and went for a ride around Moscow.

📌Our energy specialists’ day ended in Zaryadye Park.

Zaryadye Park is a modern place for recreation, entertainment and education located near the Red Square. Here, the concepts of nature and technology, history and modernity are united and complement each other.

The fellows visited the sightseeing tour and the “Flight over Moscow” attraction, where they were able to look at Moscow from a bird's-eye view.

🌐 The InteRussia team, in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund and MGIMO Institute for International Studies, continues the call for applications for the InteRussia fellowship programme.

What can you expect?

🟡Immersion into Russian academia in history, theory and practice of international relations, political science and area studies;
🟡visits to policy-making institutions, participation in expert sessions hosted by universities, think tanks and non-governmental organisations;
🟡work in close contact with and under the academic guidance of leading Russian IR scholars from MGIMO University.

Requirements for candidates:

🟡non-Russian citizenship with permanent residence outside of Russia;
🟡аge 25-39;
🟡a Ph.D. degree or at least three years of working experience in academic institutions/think tanks or Ph.D. studies in progress;
🟡absence of any employment/previous enrollment in academic programmes/other ties with MGIMO University;
🟡professional command of English (at least C1 level).

Programme dates: October 21 — December 1.

The InteRussia team, in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, Rossotrudnichestvo and the lead institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences — IMEMO, ISKRAN, the Institute of Europe, the Institute of Latin American Studies, and the Institute for African Studies — is extending the call for applications to join the InteRussia fellowship programme in international relations for specialists from the CIS states.

🌐 The topic of the programme is noscriptd Polycentric World: New Trends and Challenges.

What criteria should the participant meet?

🔵Nationals of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Moldavia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the countries of the South Caucasus.
🔵Age 25-35.
🔵Place of residence outside of Russia.
🔵Professional command of Russian (at least C1 level).
🔵Submission of an individual research proposal on the selected topic.
🔵PhD degree or at least 3 years of working experience in academic institutions/think tanks or postgraduate studies in progress.

Fellowship date: from September 29 to October 27.
