P.S. AirPods 4 won't come with a cable.

At the event, the company upgraded the port from Lightning to USB-C. However, after the event on Apple's website it became clear that the headphones will no longer come with a wire.

It will have to be purchased separately for $19.

📱 How to get your iPhone ready for iOS 18

🔜 Apple officially releases iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 on Monday, September 16, with a host of new, long-awaited functions, such as new Home Screen customization options, an overhauled Control Center, a revamped Photos app, and more.

iOS 📱 is compatible with the iPhone models present in the picture (same iPhone models as with iOS 17). Note that iOS 18 will come pre-installed on new iPhone 16 models when they are on sale on Friday, September 20.

iPadOS ☁️ drops support for iPad models with the A10X Fusion chip, therefore iPadOS 18 is compatible with the following iPad models:

▪ iPad Pro: 2018 and later
▪ iPad Air: 2019 and later
▪ iPad mini: 2019 and later
▪ iPad: 2020 and later

Before installing a new OS, it is recommended that you:
▪ Reclaim device storage space
▪ Make an archived backup of your device

🤔 Many people intentionally don't update in the early days for a number of reasons: some fear battery wear and tear, others fear bugs, and still others turn off automatic updates and take a closer look at the new iOS on their friends' devices for now.

🔗 Apple store has launched pre-orders for the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro

⌚ Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Black Titanium, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max in new colors are also up for pre-order.

⏳ Yesterday, during the pre-order, there was even a queue – when entering the Apple online store site, a sign was displayed 'stay on the page, this is a virtual queue, you will be sent to the store as soon as your time is up' (the wait was about 4-8 minutes, depending on the region).

🍏 Almost everything the same comes with iPhones: only a USB-C charging cable. Even everyone's favorite apple stickers were removed for environmental purposes. They will only be available on request when you pick them up at the Apple Store.

💰 Apple will start blocking iPhones that contain stolen parts

iOS 📱 will introduce swap recognition capable of detecting “donor parts”. If such parts are found in a smartphone, the device will ask for the Apple Account password from which the parts were taken.

🔧 Experts predict mass lockouts and urge users who have recently repaired their phones to delay installing the update. The recovery could turn out to be unexpectedly complicated.

🔜 The new iOS 18 will be released as early as Monday, September 16.
