Good morning from Essex, UK, and thank you for your inspirational efforts to help us become big tech free. My brother just donated 3 old laptops to me so I'm going to put Ubuntu on one, Mint on another, and am open to suggestions on the third 😊
Friends, someone just told me there were 400 people on our Live Stream last night. Is that true? I wasn't looking at the number of participants!

I used to use Linux way back in the 90s but got lazy because of work. Jeff got me back on the train!

After 3 years of full-time Linux, I don't understand why anyone would ever go back to that cobbled-together disaster that Windows is... To top it off, the IT news are well stocked with dangerous Microsoft security flaws.

Linux is not bad to learn at all, and as far a desktop environment it's more efficient to work in. A huge portion developers (like me) prefer it over MS Windows, that's why you can get developer workstations from the factory with Linux pre-installed.

Give it a go. You might like the new found freedom.

I just bought a used Mac on eBay preloaded with Lenix and an old version of iOS parallel. Does anyone know if there’s a way to make sure there’s no viruses in my pre-installed software? I really want to make this work and break free of big tech

I am an old RedHatter….. Linux has definitely improved its user friendliness over the years, There are many easy to use Linux flavors that are surprisingly easy to adapt to. Its not as steep a learning curve as most people perceive it to be

At last I am ready to jump into Linux. Had a good friend in IT security that tried to get me to do it years ago. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Really want to be a part of the Linux for beginners class. I am not available at the scheduled 3:00 EST. Will these be live or recorded for access at your own leisure? I installed a dual boot of Zorin 16 Pro on my laptop and just acquired a Dell Optiplex 780 with 8GB Ram and 1TB HD that I am going to make my Linux learning PC. I ordered a couple Linux for beginners books that I am going to devour but I really want to take the class.
Tonight will be a live "Ask and Answer" call, and meet an Admin from our Technology chat room -- Will Welker & JP will be answering your Linux questions on the live stream starting @ 8:00pm EST.
