CDC interested if there will be a higher risk of adverse reactions. Pfizer trial not large enough to detect uncommon side effects. Trial not expected to end till Sept 2022 when CDC is expecting to authorize boosters this month.
For all the medical professionals that contacted me about the medical board letter, this was a great question asked to the FDA.
However, the FDA did authorize boosters for 65+ years old and “high risk of severe Covid-19” based on the known risks/benefits.
CDC’s ACIP meeting to discuss the FDA’s vote is scheduled for Sep 22nd.
I received a message asking about this photo. It’s been circulating social media for years and is now being used as a way to explain why getting the Covid-19 vaccine is still beneficial. Even though the Covid-19 vaccine failed its original intention of preventing transmission/infection, the thought process is that at least it’ll lessen symptoms. That part is highly debatable and I won’t go in depth about that now. However, I’d like to address the comparison to the smallpox vaccine. When someone shares this, it tells me they haven’t done much research on this product.
The smallpox vaccine is live and, per the manufacturer, can cause the very thing the vaccine is meant to prevent as well as put those that physically come in contact with the individual vaccinated at risk. The CDC even has an entire webpage devoted to smallpox vaccine reactions.

Here’s another example of how dangerous the smallpox vaccine can be for children that come in contact with recently vaccinated individuals:
