Chicken subnoscription for just $600 for six months 🐣
The rise in egg prices in the US has sparked a demand for chicken rentals.
The company Rent The Chicken rents out 2 chickens for only $600 for six months (the chicken is expected to lay 6 eggs a week).
This is better than dealing with crypto 😃

Do you think there will ever be hope for Ethiopia? Or not in our life time?

If you aren't aiming for something beyond yourself, you better start now. What's the point of just doing what you already know? Shouldn't you start something you don't know how it works? Shouldn't you work on something that has never been done by anyone from where you are? Shouldn't you dare to be the one who makes the difference? Stressing over things that everyone does or that you already know how to do is ridiculous to me.

I know it’s not a popular opinion, but what if you took a year off to focus on building yourself instead of working a job you dislike or living a life that doesn’t fulfill you? I see so many people stuck in environments that drain them, settling for lives that don’t fulfill them simply because they lack the right knowledge or skills. But what if, instead of staying miserable, you took the time to invest in yourself, to learn, grow, and build a life that actually excites you? You could say you'll do it later or come up with a million excuses, but the fact is, you won’t make a real change with the same paradigm or mental framework. If you still have the same mentality you had years ago, then guess what? You’ll keep getting the same results you had a year ago.

Alright, I noticed a lot of you are interested in remote or international jobs. Even though I’ve stopped working for companies to focus on my own stuff, I’ll still be sharing some legit opportunities here. #RemoteJobs #InternationalJobs #JobOpportunities #FreelanceLife #CareerGoals #WorkFromAnywhere

The companies and opportunities I’ll share here will be the ones I’ve personally worked with. The first one I’m sharing today is UN jobs. I joined a company called UNOPS back in 2021, which is headquartered in Denmark. I was the youngest of all the over 5,000 employees at UNOPS, and I gained and learned so much from it. I also made a lot of mistakes there (lol, I was just 22 at the time). Anyway, you can apply to UNOPS jobs directly on their website at unops.org under the 'Careers' section, or you can find opportunities on UN Careers and Impactpool. Beterefe I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have, and this is just the beginning! I’ve had so many other opportunities, and I’ll be sharing them all. Make sure to share this with anyone who might need it!

Here is the second opportunity for you guys. There is a recruitment and tech agency called hyper hire based in Korea. Although I haven’t spent much time at this company, I know they hire developers across various areas of expertise. You can check their linked in here. But what’s even better is to follow the recruiters who work there, they post job openings more frequently than the company page. I’ll leave that part up to you!

Quick note: Most of the opportunities I find come from recruiters reaching out to me on LinkedIn even till this day. So yeah, it’s definitely worth investing some time in your LinkedIn profile, y’all.

Kinda wild how ChatGPT sometimes gets me more than the people around me. It’s improved so much that I’ve actually started asking it some really personal questions.

I just had a tough day, but as promised, I’m sharing another opportunity that might be helpful. There’s a company called Everse, based in Israel. I secured a role through them, although I willingly resigned. They often post MERN stack roles, along with other opportunities, on LinkedIn. A few Ethiopians I know work there, too, so you might find it worth checking out.

A few of you have asked for tips on creating a strong resume, applying for jobs, preparing, and navigating the interview process. I’ll be posting some helpful tips on that soon. In the meantime, feel free to share this channel with anyone who might find it useful. I know we have a culture of keeping a valuable information to just us but let's not do that here. The larger our community grows, the more insights and opportunities I can share.

You know what I just remembered? A fan of mine once told me he's learning at a university, and he said he's not sociable and has no friends so he couldn’t go far in school or anything. And instantly, I remembered my own college years. Even though I had a few friends, I wasn’t sociable at all especially with classmates.
And in Ethiopia, university is all about how much info you know about the teacher, memorizing handouts, guessing what might be on the test. For me, that was just stupid and ridiculous. So I couldn’t do well in school. But I knew that wouldn’t define me or my potential, so I didn’t waste a second trying to fit into the system or blend in.
Instead, I fell in love with programming. Gosh, I used to wake up excited just to learn the next thing or build something. Any project you can think of, I was that girl who coded for fun. I was good at it, and I knew I could make a great living from it. And it didn’t take long for me to do just that.
So my point is if you're struggling to fit in with school or with what people think is the “right” thing to do guess what? You don’t have to listen to any of their nonsense. Just figure out what you love or what you’re good at, whatever it is. You don’t need to play anyone else’s stupid game.

Another important one, do your research about the company and come prepared. I’m not even sure if I do it consciously, but I often find myself daydreaming about how the interview will go. That kind of mental rehearsal actually prepares me more than I realize. This is what it means to "see it in your mind first."

And just a side note, I’ve created a personal channel where I talk about anything and everything. It’s more of a personal space, so I don’t recommend everyone joining in. I’ve noticed that some people get triggered or find it doesn’t align with their beliefs or perspectives.
Here are some of the things I’ll be sharing there:
- Meditation (I’m on a journey to become more and more conscious)
- Personal development (which has kinda become my thing, lol)
- My affirmation and manifestation practices
- And generally, my views on people and the universe we live in
So yeah, if you're not into these topics, no worries, feel free to stick to this channel and get your tech tips, haha.
