AI Startups🚀
I just listened to the YC Light Cone podcast and it really got me thinking. They're right,
We need to stop chasing the hype and start building things that actually solve problems.
Here's what I'm taking away from the podcast:
•Don't try to be everything to everyone. Find your niche and focus on becoming the best in that space.
•Attention mechanisms are key! Read that "Attention is All You Need" paper - it's a game-changer.
•Open-source models like Llama are amazing! They offer a more affordable alternative to GPT, letting us focus on building our own unique solutions.
•Learning how to fine-tune models is essential. This allows us to tailor existing models to our specific needs and data.
🔑Key terms: AI Researcher, Prompt Armor, Cloud Cybersecurity, Copilot, Llama, and AI Targets.

AI startups need to focus on real solutions for specific customers, not just building generic AI that nobody really needs.
We need to stop chasing the hype and start building things that actually solve problems.
It's about understanding who our users are, what their pain points are, and building intuitive, easy-to-use solutions that they actually want to use.

Yesterday I finished 2 books, one is an audiobook called "Ey, qizim" by Shayx Ali Tantoviy (highly recommended to listen), and one is a more research-based book called "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. Overall, both of them have been a reflection stimulus for me. Lemme share some highlighted points from the latter.

G2g companies do not focus principally on what to do to become great, they focus equally on what not to do and what to stop doing.
Greatness is a matter of conscious choice.
The right people are your most important asset.
Do not try to act like genius, without being a genius.
Put your best people on your biggest opportunities, not your biggest problems.
Managing your problems can only make you good, whereas building your opportunities is the only way to become great.
Facts are better than dreams.
Know thyself.
3 circles of Hedgehog Concept: 1. What you are passionate about; 2. What you can be the best in the world at; 3. What drives your economic engine.
The g2g companies are more like 🦔hedgehogs - simple, dowdy creatures that know "1 big thing" and stick to it. The comparison companies are more like 🦊foxes - crafty, cunning creatures that know many things that lack consistency.
Do you have a "to-do" list? Do you also have a "stop doing" list?
Technology as an accelerator, not a creator, of momentum.
Crawl, walk, run (organic development process).
BHAG (bee-hag) - Big Hairy Ambitious Goal.

Tadqiqot Kursidan Insaytlar
Keyingi yil bitiruv kurs ishiga (tadqiqot, maqolalar yozish) tayyorgarlikni boshlashni professorlarimiz takror-takror aytishni boshlashgandi bu semesterdan, shu sabab men ham bu mavzuda biroz research qildim. Latofat opa Bobojonova maslahat bergan kursni yaqinda ko'rib chiqdim. Hozir eng muhim olgan ma'lumotlarimni ushbu postda yozib qoldirmoqchiman.
Tadqiqot boshlaganda eng birinchi qadam bu siz qilmoqchi bo'lgan tadqiqot mavzusini va sohasini aniq qilib olishingiz, so'ngra shu sohada tajribasi ko'p bo'lgan tadqiqotchilarni qidirib topish, ular bilan bog'lanish va fikrlarini olish. Bakalavr talabalariga hozircha eng optimal variant ularning professorlari bilan birgalikda bu ishga kirishishlari bo'lishi mumkin.
Tadqiqot turini aniqlab oling:
Basic —> Applied
Theoritical —> Experimental
Qualitative —> Quantitative
Shuningdek, tadqiqot yozishda etikal qoidalarga amal qilish ham muhim, masalan, avtorlik huquqi, qalbakilashtirish, ko'chirish, boshqa ishlarni *reference qismida to'g'ri *cite qilish, plagiarism.
KYC - Know Your Community, KYP - Know Your Paper
Siz tadqiqotingizni aynan qaysi auditoriyaga yozyotganizni ham aniqlashtirib olishingiz kerak va shunga asosan tadqiqot kontentini tuzish lozim. Ya'ni "so what" testidan o'tkazing, agar men ushbu tadqiqotni qilsam, akademik jamiyatga qanday foyda keltiraman, qilmoqchi bo'lgan ishim biroz bo'lsada yangilik kiritadimi degan filter savollarni o'zingizga berishingiz shart.
Tadqiqot Dizaynini tuzishda beriladigan savollar:
1. Muammoni yechishda mavjud nazariyalardan foydalana olamanmi?
2. Metodologiya muammo bilan mos keladimi?
3. Tadqiqot savoliga birma-bir javoblar bera olamanmi?
4. O'z muhokamalarim bilan tadqiqot natijalarini boyita olamanmi?
*Academic Paper Structure
1. Title
2. Abstract
3. Introduction
4. Literature Review
5. Methodology
6. Results/Analysis
7. Discussion
8. Conclusion
Ilmiy ishlarda qilinishi mumkin bo'lgan xatolar:
Ilmiy tilda bo'lmasligi, grammatik xatolar, sahifa raqamlanmasligi, noto'g'ri format tanlash, ortiqcha so'zlar. Va eng muhimi, tayyor ilmiy ishingizni hech qachon bir vaqtda turli konferensiya, jurnallarga topshirmang.

I participated in the "Uzbekistan Youth Leadership Conference" organized by American Councils, held at the Wyndham Hotel in Tashkent on June 7-8. It was a full 2-day experience of learning how to implement community projects, team-building activities, leadership, networking, and sharing knowledge.
A big thank you to our trainers - Tom Toomey and Nicholas Viggiano, my mentor - Dilnora Azimova, and the organizers Ziyoda Rakhimova and Aziza Nuriddinova, for their hard work and dedication during the conference.
I met many like-minded peers and was inspired by the dynamic atmosphere we created together.

O'zbekistonning Polshadagi Elchixonasi
Polshaga kelishimiz bilan bizni elchixona vakillari kutib olishdi va shu yerda mehmon qilishdi.
Biz ular bilan yaqindan tanishdik, hozirgi kunda qanday o'zgarishlar va yoshlarga imkoniyatlar yaratishayotganligi borasida so'zlab berishdi.
Perspektywy Women in Tech tadbiri uchun tashrif buyurganligimiz sababidan biz ham O'zbekistonda shunday katta masshtabli IT tadbirlarni o'tkazishimizni, butun dunyodan katta kompaniyalar va xalqaro investor va mutaxassislarni qanday jalb qilish borasida "paxta gulli piyolada choy ustida" suhbatlashdik.

Day 1 in Poland, June 10
We visited Pałac Młodzieży w Warszawie. It stands at 237 meters, making it the second-highest building in Poland, and we could see the entire city from the 30th floor.
The palace was "a gift from the Soviet nation to the Polish nation." It was built between 1952 and 1955 according to the design of the Soviet architect Lev Rudnev, who was inspired by Moscow's skyscrapers (known outside Russia as the Seven Sisters), modeled on American Art Deco skyscrapers. Architecturally, it is a mixture of socialist realism and historicism.
