Charlie

I’m a first time watcher and I’m on season 3. Charlie annoys the crap out of me. Like he’s so overprotective of Claire and she doesn’t even want it. He didn’t like that Locke was getting close to Claire and did that stunt to make him look bad. Now I’m on the episode that he doesn’t like Desmond for saving Claire from drowning.

Caves or Beach?

In season 1, the disagreement between living in the caves versus staying on the beach is a stupidly blown up plot, considering both options are good so long as some survivors stayed on the beach/rotated between beach and caves.

If rescue came, it's not like the beach survivors would get on the boats ASAP and not tell the rescuers where they could find the remaining survivors. Drama for drama's sake in a television drama - go figure!

Anyway, I just wanted to ask what you think you would have done? Stayed on the beach or moved to the caves - or done a rotation of the two?

I'm a caves guy - with regular visits to the beach, but I wouldn't want to live on the beach.

The casting in Lost was amazing

I was really surprised by how well they cast the younger versions of some characters. They did such a great job!
Alex and Danielle look so much alike, and the child actors for Charlotte & Sawyer, Jack’s son David, young Ben, young Juliet and the sister were all perfect.
Huge appreciation to the casting team- they really nailed it. 👏

What´s that music´s name

Someone knows the name of the song in sad moments? not the regular one, like the one that is when Linus talks about he´s daugther, the piano one, pretty sad.

If you could pick 3 or 5 leaders for season 1 who and why?

I’m doing a rewatch/first watch. I watch the first few season I wanna say 10 years ago so I don’t remember a whole lot. So I’m doing a rewatch. I’m on season 1. As we know Jack had kind of just became the leader. But as the season progress we see that it does take a toll on him. We see others emerging as well Sayid for an example. The two work well but what would be best is basically a board that consist of an uneven number so if they vote you have the 1 person who breaks the tie.
So if you could pick 3 or 5 people from only season 1. Who and why?
And bonus who would be the worst to lead.

"If I take him.... he will always be one of us"

Richard says this to Kate and co before accepting the injured young ben and saving him. It's my first watch (currently on s5 ep12). Why did Richard say taking ben would mean the death of his innocence, he'd never be the same, and he "will always be one of us"? Separately, what do ppl think of Richard? As of right now I see him as symbolizing perhaps the devil (could very well be wrong in this). This scene and Richard as a whole confuse and intrigue me. Thanks!

what are the stupidest theories you had when you were first watching lost?

for me, it was i thought the others were kind of like jack’s dad in early episodes, a hallucination thing. (or is he? vsauce music) i thought this because in the episode where jack and kate go out into the jungle to save claire and charlie ethan seems to pop out of nowhere and warn jack, and when he asks kate if she saw ethan she said no. jack also seemed unable to fight back at all, which i always thought was weird.
