Lost Explained YouTube Channel has a hidden secret video link

This channel has the most in-depth explainer videos I’ve ever seen for this show, and that’s saying something. Recently, they started releasing regular vids, going over each episode. For the first time, I noticed something four seconds before the end of the video:

Has anyone found the secret video link?

Favourite season

For me season 1 was my favourite, but I did enjoy and binge watched seasons 1-4. Season 5 became painful to watch, I didn’t like but was watching bit by bit as wanted to get through to the end. I’m early into season 6 now, and although it’s better than season 5 (i like the intertwined clips when they land), I still don’t find it nearly as interesting as first 4 seasons, right now not sure if I’ll get through it.

Just finished Season 2 and the first 5 episodes of Season 3. My brain and heart are both a mess right now.

I just wrapped up Season 2 and made it through the first five episodes of Season 3 — and wow, I’m honestly all over the place emotionally. I can’t stop thinking about everything that’s happened and how insane this show is getting. I figured I’d just dump my thoughts episode by episode because there’s so much to unpack.

2x24 — I didn’t expect Desmond's story to hit me so hard. The way they tied his flashbacks into the button and the hatch… just brilliant. The moment the sky went purple gave me chills. And the reveal that the Others have a boat and Michael actually went through with the deal, that hurt. I am glad that Michael got Walt back. Watching him leave in the boat with Walt while Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley are captured was just brutal. I felt so much fear because I thought that the others were going to kill one of those three. I just couldn't stop staring at the screen while they were all down on the dock. Such a great, tense finale.

3x1 — The opening scene in the Others’ village completely threw me off. I did not expect that at all. Seeing the plane break apart from their perspective was wild. I’m so confused but also fascinated by Ben (well, “Henry Gale”). I don’t trust a word he says, but I can’t look away either. Poor Jack, the glass cell, Juliet watching him, the manipulation, it all feels so unsettling.

3x2 — Sun and Jin flashbacks! I really liked this one. It’s nice seeing more of their relationship, but I hate that we had to see more manipulation from Ben’s group. Also, Sayid is seriously one of the smartest and most emotionally intense characters. If he dies in this season or the next three I'm going to be MAD! MAD! I love every scene he’s in. That boat standoff was nerve-wracking. I keep thinking, what is Ben’s endgame here?

3x3 — Locke’s vision quests are always something else. I didn’t love this episode as much as the previous ones, but it was cool seeing him rescue Eko. The polar bear thing was terrifying. Seeing the skeletons in the cave with the dharma clothes on had me horrified. Then the sequence of the scuffle with the polar bear itself as John was saving Eko and had to burn the bear had me screaming. Holy shit. Still not sure what’s up with that Dharma station and the weird bunker people. I do love that Locke keeps believing in the island, even when everything falls apart around him. I would too.

3x4 — That pacemaker twist?? I was honestly stressing the entire episode thinking Sawyer’s heart might actually explode. The flashbacks added a little more depth to him, but the highlight for me was the reveal that they’re on a completely different island. Like… excuse me?? That moment totally broke my brain. The Others keep outsmarting everyone, and I’m getting more and more nervous about what they’re really capable of.

3x5 — I’m so mad about Eko’s death. He deserved so much better. His story always felt like one of redemption and strength, and to have it end that way just felt cruel. That scene with the smoke monster was haunting, though. The show clearly has something deeper going on with faith, judgment, and the island itself, but losing Eko honestly hurt. RIP, legend.

Also it was crazy when Juliet was talking to Jack about him performing surgery on Ben while she had the TV out and was holding those boards for him to read those messages of what she was truly needing his help with. That had me going oh my god repeatedly. Could you imagine being in his situation?

Overall, I’m loving this show. I’m equally excited and terrified to keep going.

First full re-watch since the original broadcast

Two nights ago, I finished my first full series re-watch since the original broadcast.

I started watching with my 10-year-old son back in the beginning of the summer (he has since turned 11).

Some observations:

\- Watching on-demand changes things: parts of the series that felt so "confusing" or whatever during the original run made SO much more sense in a shorter time frame. (Less time to forget stuff, I suppose?)

\- There are a LOT of teachable moments in the series for a middle-school aged kid. (Moral ambiguity, the toll that violence takes on a person, dealing with temptation, free will, etc.)

\- The "saddest" parts of the final seasons are when old characters are referenced again (no spoilers). It's like finally seeing old friends again after a long hiatus.

\- Even the "bad" episodes don't seem so bad, on balance. I think it's because you didn't "waste" a week waiting for a let-down.

\- There will never be a show like Lost again. Not talking about quality or magic or whatever. But there will never be another show where people hung on the edge of their seats to see what was going to happen next. That was a phenomenon that we will never see again.

That's all. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!

Aaron in flash sideways

It is presumed everyone lived long lives when they got off the island.

The last time we see Aaron he is a young boy.

Why is then, that in the flash sideways purgatory he’s back in a baby form?

Veteran lost watcher

I’ve seen the show like 8 times all the way through and currently on the last season again and it hit me-I have no idea what’s the point of Richard. I mean what does he do?

I need more Michael Emerson in my life. Such an underappreciated great actor. His role in Lost is nothing but 10/10.

As a follow up to someone else's post, here is another photo of Juliet's ring finger. Looks like Juliet is wearing a diamond solitaire ring. Maybe Sawyer did get to propose to Blondie after all!

Explain the mystery

Waited and watched all the seasons only with hope that they will explain about the island, where did it come from etc, dissappointed in the storyline. Please explain why didn't they just care to explain about it.
