First full re-watch since the original broadcast
Two nights ago, I finished my first full series re-watch since the original broadcast.
I started watching with my 10-year-old son back in the beginning of the summer (he has since turned 11).
Some observations:
\- Watching on-demand changes things: parts of the series that felt so "confusing" or whatever during the original run made SO much more sense in a shorter time frame. (Less time to forget stuff, I suppose?)
\- There are a LOT of teachable moments in the series for a middle-school aged kid. (Moral ambiguity, the toll that violence takes on a person, dealing with temptation, free will, etc.)
\- The "saddest" parts of the final seasons are when old characters are referenced again (no spoilers). It's like finally seeing old friends again after a long hiatus.
\- Even the "bad" episodes don't seem so bad, on balance. I think it's because you didn't "waste" a week waiting for a let-down.
\- There will never be a show like Lost again. Not talking about quality or magic or whatever. But there will never be another show where people hung on the edge of their seats to see what was going to happen next. That was a phenomenon that we will never see again.
That's all. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!

Aaron in flash sideways
It is presumed everyone lived long lives when they got off the island.
The last time we see Aaron he is a young boy.
Why is then, that in the flash sideways purgatory he’s back in a baby form?

I’ve seen the show like 8 times all the way through and currently on the last season again and it hit me-I have no idea what’s the point of Richard. I mean what does he do?

I need more Michael Emerson in my life. Such an underappreciated great actor. His role in Lost is nothing but 10/10.

As a follow up to someone else's post, here is another photo of Juliet's ring finger. Looks like Juliet is wearing a diamond solitaire ring. Maybe Sawyer did get to propose to Blondie after all!

Explain the mystery
Waited and watched all the seasons only with hope that they will explain about the island, where did it come from etc, dissappointed in the storyline. Please explain why didn't they just care to explain about it.

Theory about Widmore
Widmore did not order Keamy to kill Alex.
Widmore says that Ben is lying when Ben accuses him of it.
Or
Widmore/someone else ordered it, maybe even threatened Keamy's family.
It doesn't justify Keamy's actions, but gives a new perspective into the ordeal.

Question about the Island
Was Keamy invited to the Island?
Why would the Island want Keamy to be there, since he was destructive?

one thing I've noticed
Since season 3 onwards, all 15 leads don't appear every episode. Earlier, they managed to sneak in all members even though appearing for a few seconds, and all would have a dialouge.
Now, lot of characters don't appear like more than half the cast sometimes
Is there a meta (production related) reason for this?

Explanations, please. I’m a bit confused.
In what season(s) do the flash forward and flash sideways occur? From some of the posts here I’ve gotten very mixed up.
The finale takes place sometime in the future, right? I don’t get the concert fundraiser setting —is Jack really there? And then Kate drives him to the church and he’s suddenly dead?
Huh?
Help!!

Richard Malkin theory
Do we think that Richard Malkin was influenced by the MiB off camera in Riased by Another? Wondering if he was manipulated into thinking Claire MUST get on the flight for that reason.
