I need reassurance... am I experiencing a Mandela effect??

Alright, some small spoilers in the mix here, but I'm currently on what is probably rewatch number 12 to 15ish. I just rewatched S2E1 "Man of Science, Man of Faith," and I feel like I might be going a little crazy.

During the flashback scene when Jack is about to operate on Sarah, she is laying on the surgical table and calls him over. She says that it's okay, she knows she won't be dancing at her wedding, but she can still roll around. Now, in my head, she definitely says to him "I'm letting you off the hook," during this exchange, before Jack says "I'm gonna fix you."

However, she doesn't say it. I had to actually stop and rewind to see if I missed it because I was expecting to hear it with such certainty that I figured I must have. Then I thought maybe I was misremembering and she instead says it in another flashback scene after the surgery. But nope. Not there either.

Now, the thing is, other parts of the internet agree with me. (I realize this is not typically a good rationalization for, well, anything.) But on Lostpedia, in the wiki for "regularly spoken phrases," it is included as one of the three times that the line is spoken to Jack:

https://lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Regularly\_spoken\_phrases/G-N#%22Letting\_you\_off\_the\_hook%22

In the Wikipedia entry for the "Do No Harm" episode (S1E20), it also mentions that the phrase Boone says to Jack is spoken again by Sarah in S2E1

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do\_No\_Harm\_(Lost)#:\~:text=Boone%20says%20to%20Jack%20%22I,of%20Faith%22%20in%20a%20flashback#:~:text=Boone%20says%20to%20Jack%20%22I,of%20Faith%22%20in%20a%20flashback)

It would make sense for her to say it to him at that exact moment, since it is a recurring comment to Jack, first by both Rose and Boone. But I feel like I can picture Sarah saying it softly to him as she's lying on the table. Like, it's in my brain. Her inflection and everything. But it's not in the episode.

At least it's not in the episode that is currently on Netflix. I can't imagine why that version would be different than what aired or what was on the DVDs, especially to have that line edited, specifically. But is that a possibility?

I checked out the trannoscript in Lostpedia, but it does not show that line in the episode at all. It shows exactly how I'm watching it now. https://lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Man\_of\_Science,\_Man\_of\_Faith\_trannoscript

But I don't know for sure where that trannoscript was taken from.

So was this line never spoken by Sarah? Am I conflating it with the first two times it's said to Jack and just feel like it would fit perfectly in that scene? But why do other people also seem to believe that she says it to him?

Hurley would believe me.

LOST Finale

I watched LOST real time. I was so crazy for the show thru and thru. I was college when I saw the finale. I hated it. Felt like not providing answers was a huge cop out. As I grew older though and after numerous rewatches, I began to realize that the Island was not meant to answer all the questions. That towards the end, all that matters is your character change and all the relationships you've formed along the journey.

Today I found a Taped recording of Season 1 Episode 11 as it was Premiered on ABC. Quite literally “Lost Media”

I’m still watching further to see if it has any other episodes.

I Finally Started LOST…

I’ve always heard that this show is amazing, but for some reason I never sat down and watched it.

Somehow, through all these years — I have no clue what happens, whatsoever.

After watching the show ‘From’ (which is absolutely phenomenal imo) I was told that many people get a LOST-vibe from it, which is what made me revisit my interest in this show from many, many years ago.

I’m on S1E8 right now, and all I can say is wow! I am absolutely loving this!

Just wanted to share, thought some of you may enjoy knowing there’s a clueless first-timer in 2025!

Slapped this J-card together for a Final Project, didn’t originally start out as a lost project

I just finished the show for the first time 😭

Literally what do I do with my life now. Idk what to watch.

I was tearing up so so much at that entire last episode. Every time a couple “remembered” and fell in love again I was crying, it was so bitter sweet.

But also WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEYRE ALL DEAD!!!!??? That is not how I imagined it ending…

I also need clarification bc I’m slightly confused at the ending. My interpretation of it was that everything that happened on the island is real, and then everything that happened in the “what if” episodes of season 6 was all part of the after life??

Is this right I’m really confused

My review of LOST as a first time watcher (including my Top 5s)

I had been seeing lots of hype around the show and had been putting off watching it for a long time (regrettably). I love binging and even though I was told to watch it slowly, I couldn’t help myself and binged it so quickly. I now have post-Lost disorder - I don’t know how to recover from this beauty of a show.

S1: The show overall was sooo good, I loved season 1 and the introduction to all the characters and the elements of supernatural on the island. Looking back on the show, S1 probably gave us the least answers but gave us lots of background and clues. I was initially unsure about the flashback format, but learnt to love them (well, most of them), since I realised the show emphasised the characters and their development so much.

S2 was also amazing with the addition of Desmond and the Tailies, although I do think their overall arc could have been better as none of them made it very far apart from Bernard and that was minor role. But despite being short-lived, the performances of Ana Lucia, Eko and Libby were powerful, and I enjoyed their backstories. The best thing, of course, is the introduction of Henry Gale. I was a little confused why he was getting so much screen time but the reveal was so worth it. Michael Emerson is amazing.

S3: I had heard this season would be a slow start, but honestly I enjoyed the first episodes anyway, especially getting to know Ben and Juliet. But when the season picked up the pace… it was a straight rollercoaster to the end of the season. Probably my favourite finale of all the seasons with the iconic Charlie moment (I found him very annoying at times, but this was a redeeming moment) and also the “We have to go back” reveal was mind blowing. I was genuinely so confused at bearded Jack and was so used to the flashbacks that this plot twist totally caught me off guard.

S4 was the shortest and at times felt quite slow due to a couple filler episodes, but on the whole I think I really liked the new flash forward format. I noticed some of the previous flashbacks were becoming a little empty (Jack’s tattoos, John’s weed friends although the farmer/hunter stuff was OK I guess), so the flash forwards were a burst of fresh energy. I think the mysteries were becoming a lot more interesting at this point, with the addition of Widmore’s crew. I honestly didn’t care for the freighter crew at first, but I grew to love them very quickly, especially Faraday and Miles. It was nice to get some background for Michael (there’s no way Ben would have let him sail away lol), but he still takes top spot as least favourite character.

S5 was also very enjoyable and despite some people not being the biggest fans of it, I loved the time travel aspect. I think if you watch the show carefully and give it your attention, then it is not confusing at all, and the time shifts were actually super cool. I loved the connections being made through time and the crossovers from past and present (Miles and Chang, Eloise and Faraday, etc). The overarching battle between Jacob and MIB is really taking shape by the end of the season and we finally put faces to the names we’ve been hearing. I had been looking forward to finding out what “The Incident” was, ever since we met Desmond and I was not disappointed. I really loved Sawyer this season - he really kept everyone alive and together and had made a beautiful life for himself and Juliet.

S6: The final season was for the most part really fun. The flash-sideways were also very impressive and I had loved keeping track of character connections in flashbacks since S1 and seeing so many more of them in the flash sideways made me so happy. Terry O’Quinn is a magnificent actor btw - his demeanour as Locke vs MIB was so different and really impressive how he can play a poor soul in the flash sideways and the main antagonist on the island. I really love Desmond’s role in bringing everyone together in the flash sideways and it turns out so beautiful in the end. The season answered a lot of
