Did they show us?
I'm on season 6 near the final episode no spoiler please.
In like episode 9/10 Desmond was shown his real life by Charlie and after he went to the party that Eloise was organising.
After talking with Daniel Faraday he goes to the stadium where he met with jack in season 2/3
And meets Penny and asks her out.
Do they show us the date between Desmond and penny?(or do they show it in the last 1 hour and half long episode)
Sorry if i made mistakes english is not my first language.

What was the point of the hy-bird?
Yes, I understand its appearance in "Live Together, Die Alone" created an opportunity for Michael to discover that Jack hadn't loaded his gun. And I suppose it provided some (very) mild comic relief because its call sounded like it was saying "Hurley." But it ultimately only amounted to being a mildly interesting extra detail about the DHARMA Initiative's activities.
Is it possible the writers may have been toying with it developing into something more integral to the island's mythology?

MiB is not the monster
I just finished the show, so maybe this has been debunked or something, but rethinking Across the sea, where we see Jacob's origins, I don't think it's really trying to say that the Mib is the monster.
I think the monster always existed and that the job of the protector was always to keep it locked away. My theory is that it orchestrated the falling out between Jacob and his brother by pretending to be their biological mother, in order to make him kill the protector, their fake mother. And it succeeded, but it was too late, cause she already made Jacob the new protector.
Part of my theory is that, it doesn't just pretend to be others, but takes their memories and personalities too (like when as Locke he says something like "We're gonna argue about who pushes the button" to Jack, like he's the real John). MiB didn't become the monster, cause we still see his body, separate from the smoke, it just took his appearance and memories, but unlike the real MiB, he's pure evil, with the same goal of leaving the island.
It's just an amalgamation of everyone it "scanned" and pretended to be.

Worst parents in the show
I know that this might have been asked before, but I'm interested in other people's opinions. This includes adopted parents, parent figures and in laws. Mine would probably be:
Locke's father and to an extent, his mother
Walt's mother and stepfather
Sun's father
Jin's mother
Shannon's stepmother
What do you guys think? Let's discuss!!!

Finally finished and I have a question about Desmond, Claire, and Charlie…
Wow! I can’t believe I finally finished this show. I wanna start by saying I’m so glad I found this Reddit. This show is so incredible, but I finished the finale with some lingering questions. And this one is about Desmond, Claire, and Charlie.
Desmond is probably one of my favorite characters (and handsome as hell) but I’m confused about why he said that Charlie had to die in order for Claire and Aaron to live. Des said he had a vision of Claire and Aaron being rescued in a helicopter and flying to safety. In reality, it was actually Kate with Aaron…so, was it just him misremembering things, or did he want Charlie just to finally face his death so it would stop chasing him? Either way, his death absolutely wrecked me. Charlie was just a sweetie pie and I just wanted him to live a happy life with Claire and the baby.
Also, for the life of me I do not understand why Claire suddenly went missing when the helicopter arrived. They kept saying that they were looking for her, but couldn’t find her, but when they come back to the island for a second time, she screams at them that they left her. The last I remember is that she was in Jacob’s shed with “Jack’s dad” who we later find out is the MiB, just using his body. Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts or feedback on this I would love to hear it. I’m so excited to join y’all as a new Lost super fan. Thanks!!!

Question about the scene in the church at the end
First time watcher - just finished the show - this subs been great for answering some questions I had but there’s one that’s still on my mind.
So my understanding is at the church in the end they all come together to say hello and goodbye so they can move on to whatever is next (if anything) but we only see Jack have this explained to him by his father. Does this mean nobody else there knows what’s going on? Or did they already have this explained to them beforehand and if so by who?
Or am I misunderstanding this and they’re not all actually there and it’s just a case that they are all there in Jacks experience because they were important to Jack?
And finally on a similar topic - how did Desmond know he had to get everyone together and get them to that place? He seemed too knowledgeable of the situation for someone that was supposed to be like everyone else.

Question about Walt
Exactly what was his power? He seemed to know his Mom was sick/dying and the birds slaming into the window. He could also project himself? Ben's crew was very interested in him to the point they kidnapped him but then it seems the plotline was just dropped. And since he's in the flash forewards but not at the church with everyone is he still alive? I finished my first watch awhile ago and still have so many questions.

Every time Charlie tries to do something I start sweating
This man is a walking, breathing liability. I've only finished one season, but he's the only character who swears he's competent at doing something then proceeds to make it 10 times worse.
How the HELL did you not see that Rousseau coming in with the "Get Sayid, PLEASE!" shit was an obvious trap? And then you left the woman with a baby there instead of just telling Rousseau where he was or, IDK, telling her to piss off bc you're guarding Claire. THEN, you blame Sayid for it saying things would have been different if he gave you a gun, when let's be real your dumbass would probably have just tripped on it and it would have gone off and shot you in the leg😂😂
Oh and let's not forget falling for the obvious trap of the baby face down on top of a blade of grass NOT crying, like bffr man you're an idiot!
This man is crazy, yo. He is basically a toddler in a grown man's body and I'm sure he'll get someone killed down the line.
