Which character does your life relate to?
I first watched lost in 2006 when i was a kid and didn't think much of it. Watched it again in 2017 when i was 18 and i liked it but again nothing clicked. Now watching it as a 26 year old is when i can relate to what most people were going through in their previous lives. Personally my life story resonates to charlie and john locke. How about you?

Remaining questions
I first watched Lost after season 1 was released to dvd (I was 20), just completed my second rewatch since I was just a kid. It was beautiful; that last episode had me sobbing so much. Some things had changed wildly for me since originally watching the show 20ish years ago (better understanding the ending and finding it perfect, shipping Juliette/James, finding Sun and Jin to be a terrible relationship all the way through to the end, loving Ben's character arc). I had remembered almost everything though - the show impacted me then deeply, it impacts me now. Glad to be here with you Losties, I was dying to finish to come to /r.
I am curious about your take on a few things.
1. How do you think Ben healed/made good on his deal for Juliette's sister? Was she never ill the second time?
2. I am assuming the electromagnetism has some effect on babies in utero given that Ethan was born fine, pre-incident. Do you think it is extended exposure to the electromagnetic force or does it happen at conception, or something else? I know Jacob didn't want to intervene, but do you think he could have? Do you think he felt conflicted about the death of all those mothers?
3. The smoke monster/Man in Black kills some but not all. Why do you think that is? Killing some of the Rousseau shipwrecked people is probably the best example of a sparing that I find confusing. He seems to not kill those who can be manipulated, or may have purpose (although the purpose does not seem to benefit him always), but it seems he didn't use Rousseau or any of the remainder of those people.
4. Why do you think Ethan never called out the lie of Ben being born on the island? Ben obviously didn't kill all of the Dharma folk, do you think he deliberately saved Ethan? Or was he elsewhere like Mikhail? Can you imagine being in one of the Dharma stations, learning everyone is dead, and suddenly having to report to one of the younger workmen?
5. Do you think Richard knew that Ben had never seen Jacob?
6. Do you think that old lady at Juliette's house at book club was a leftover Dharmie? Wild if she met Juliette twice right ‐ 70s and now?
7. Whenever we see anyone dead in the jungle (Ben's mom, Mr. Eko's brother, Christian), was it always the Man in Black? I'd guess yes, but Jacob and Man in Black's mother showed up to them before there was a smoke monster, so there was some property of the island that allowed that to happen.

Who was the old man?
The first time Locke meets “Jacob” in the shed and hears him say “help me” but thinks it’s Ben, I remember seeing flashes of some much older man than who the later Jacob is ever portrayed. Who was that Jacob, what is the explanation for this encounter?

Sawyer didn't have a name before his episode
The 8th episode of the season is Sawyer's flashback, but I don't remember his name being mentioned before that. Am I crazy or is that true?

Kate as a girl's girl
I'm rewatching Lost for the first time and man, I forgot how much of a girl's girl Kate is. She's the second person Sun >!speaks English with and one of the first people she opens up with!<. It's really cute how she gives Claire and Shannon reassurance and how all the female characters early on seem to trust her, which is refreshing to see before the writers lose the plot and >!use her mainly to propel a stagnant love triangle!<.

Just finished Lost for the first time... wow.
I binged the entire thing before it got taken off Netflix (and I don't have Hulu/Disney, where it will inevitably end up) and all I can say is wow. What a show!!! I can't believe it took me this long to finally watch it 😅
There were moments in late season 4/season 5 where I found it a little hard to stick with (mainly with all the back and forth time travel stuff/parallel lives) but I'm so glad I did.
I think by the end, my favorite characters ended up being Desmond, the Kwons, Locke (the real one), and oddly enough... Ben Linus. I think his character was so well written! What sold him for me was his reaction to Alex dying. I don't think he was "good" by any means, but he was beautifully complex.
I'm about to buy the box set so I can rewatch to my hearts content without a deadline 🫶🏻

I was watching Eddsworld (a webtoon) when I noticed a Lost Reference hidden in the background. A part of an Oceanic branded plane on the beach!
