Man wtf even happened 😂 great show, glad I watched. I was growing up when it was on originally and never watched it so I just watched it before it left Netflix and wow. Feel like I have no clue what happened. Going to watch some YouTube videos for exploration 😂 glad I watched it

Why does everyone get so chill about the idea of murder in late S3?
I watched as a kid during the og run, then rewatched for the first time about half a year ago(and never thought of this, admittedly), found it much better than I remembered. Now I kinda missed it again, watched a couple of reaction videos and the tonal shift between S3E19(The Brig) and S3E21(Greatest Hits) is jarring. In the first one, we see a not-fully-redeemed Sawyer, finally getting his revenge and throwing up and not feeling great about it. Then 2 eps later, they all casually plan putting dynamites in tents to kill the others. I get survival(they kidnapped pregnant women before though, it's not even about survival, it's "us vs them" mindset, like full on war) can be just as messy as revenge but they just kinda presume that there won't be any consequences, ever? And not just legally; put anyone in a desolate island, w no hope of rescue(although at that point, they have this newfound hope thanks to Widmore), give them a gun or some dynamites, a large percentage of them would still hesitate to kill just by the emotional cost of it. It sucks when I think about it bc the characters are the strongest aspect of this show's writing imo. And I can't even excuse it w the time constraints etc, bc 121 episodes is quite a lot, or at least enough, to do this thing more gradually, rather than overnight.

Noticed this on a rewatch...
Not 100% sure if this is a spoiler, but wanted to be safe. I was rewatching season 3, episode 1, Tale of Two Cities and noticed that Juliet's appearance in this episode looks very similar to Jack's ex-wife Sarah in certain episodes. I wonder if the show did this on purpose! Maybe this is was part of Ben's manipulation of Jack, trying to make him feel more attached to Juliet. To be fair, I think Juliet has this general style/look before Jack even got to the island, but nevertheless, I thought it was an interesting detail about her character especially in the first episode she's in. Thoughts?
EDIT: I'm curious to see if anyone noticed on the first watch before they mentioned it (I forgot that they mentioned it in a later episode)

Season 2 finale chef’s kiss
I think the second season finale is my favorite out of all the finales. I’m rewatching it now and the scene where Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley are ambushed by the Others still gives me goosebumps. Jack’s intensity as he realizes that Michael is still lying to them, the surprise ambush, the show music that plays as Jack tries to carry Kate to escape. Just brilliant.
Then you’ve got the rest of the episode which was just as brilliant. I was SHOOK when Desmond learned with us that he played a part in the Oceanic plane crashing. Even years later having watched this episode several times, I still get a lot of similar feels which is not easy for me when I am rewatching something.
How about you all? How does the second season finale hold up years later? What were your initial reactions?

Full timeline/calendar?
I'm curious if anyone has made a calendar or timetable of everything that happened, particularly in the first three seasons when each episode is roughly a day to a few days long?
I was just thinking of this as I did a rewatch with a friend who's never seen it before, while simultaneously watching LOST Circle on my own too.

Ana Lucia is insufferable
On S2E5 during my first rewatch of LOST and I almost want to stop watching because of how annoying Ana Lucia is.
She's overtly rude in every single interaction and refuses to explain anything to her fellow survivors. Everyone is traumatized, but she's just mean. She yells at Jin for not being able to speak English. The worst part is that she embodies every stereotype about shitty cops and it's so obvious in every interaction: dictatorial, trigger happy, holier than thou, and unwilling to reckon with her own flaws while blaming everyone else for triggering her. Like it sucks that she got burned in the past, but no one is telling her to take charge and she still insists on doing so.

I like the subtle continuity realism of LOST
I mean scenes and comments that make the island feel a real and a realistically confined place.
For example seeing the Egyptian statue before the plot required it or finding Shannon's inhaler after so many years, the cable on the beach being seen in season 6 when it's no longer needed. The lighthouse is an obvious exception but it's probably magical and not a normal feature of the island.
These little things show extra work and attention to detail which bring back subtle nostalgia.

Do No Harm EXPLAINED - LOST Episode Guide (Season 1 Episode 20)
Get the tissues ready for the most emotional episode of the season in which life and death hang in the balance on The Island, quite literally. We shall explore all things Jack as the man is pushed to his limits as a doctor in the wild; explore why the first…
Does anyone remember an old channel on YouTube that would re-edit lost scenes to make them absurd and hilarious?
The main video of theirs I’m looking for is the video with Jack and John arguing outside of the Orchid and it ends with Jack going “There’s no such things as islands, John!”

Finally finished the show this past week, a few questions -
I can't even express how depressed I've felt since finishing the show, I've thought about it every day and have never had a show impact me this way. But that's for another post! I'm sure I have a million questions from throughout the show that I can't remember, but a couple have been running through my head.
This one is difficult to word but why, in the flash sideways, was Juliet David's mother even though they show Juliet and Sawyer taking eachother to the "light" at the end? I guess Juliet and Jack could've had a kid together and then Juliet+Sawyer cross over together once they find eachother, but at that point why have Juliet be the mom? Kind of diminishes Juliet and Sawyer's reunion for me so I've been trying to just ignore it. I've also read (on a 15 year old post) that there are theories that David does really exist, but that Kate is his mom and gave birth after Jack died. My thought was just that David is kid Jack and that David is Jack's way of being able to move on (into the afterlife) from his father-son issues. Can someone put the Kate-being-pregnant at the end thing to rest for me? I'm thinking too hard about it
Was Walt ever actually the one messaging Michael on the computer, or was that MiB?
Can someone explain the lighthouse to me like I'm 5 or was that just a more unexplained part of the show? Was it just Jacob's way of monitoring his candidates?
Why have Jack become the "protector" at all if his duty was to put the cork back in? I guess going straight to Hurley would have been a letdown for some people? Or I guess he was just destined to be a very short-term but extremely important protector?
I can't wait to rewatch this show for the rest of my life but I have to mourn it longer before I restart and answer these questions better myself :,)

Make Your Own Kind of Music
I can't be the only person who gets all over body chills when that song plays.
It has an actual physical effect on me, all these years later.
That kind of blows my mind.
I can't be the only one, can I?
