Noticed this on a rewatch...
Not 100% sure if this is a spoiler, but wanted to be safe. I was rewatching season 3, episode 1, Tale of Two Cities and noticed that Juliet's appearance in this episode looks very similar to Jack's ex-wife Sarah in certain episodes. I wonder if the show did this on purpose! Maybe this is was part of Ben's manipulation of Jack, trying to make him feel more attached to Juliet. To be fair, I think Juliet has this general style/look before Jack even got to the island, but nevertheless, I thought it was an interesting detail about her character especially in the first episode she's in. Thoughts?
EDIT: I'm curious to see if anyone noticed on the first watch before they mentioned it (I forgot that they mentioned it in a later episode)

Season 2 finale chef’s kiss
I think the second season finale is my favorite out of all the finales. I’m rewatching it now and the scene where Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley are ambushed by the Others still gives me goosebumps. Jack’s intensity as he realizes that Michael is still lying to them, the surprise ambush, the show music that plays as Jack tries to carry Kate to escape. Just brilliant.
Then you’ve got the rest of the episode which was just as brilliant. I was SHOOK when Desmond learned with us that he played a part in the Oceanic plane crashing. Even years later having watched this episode several times, I still get a lot of similar feels which is not easy for me when I am rewatching something.
How about you all? How does the second season finale hold up years later? What were your initial reactions?

Full timeline/calendar?
I'm curious if anyone has made a calendar or timetable of everything that happened, particularly in the first three seasons when each episode is roughly a day to a few days long?
I was just thinking of this as I did a rewatch with a friend who's never seen it before, while simultaneously watching LOST Circle on my own too.

Ana Lucia is insufferable
On S2E5 during my first rewatch of LOST and I almost want to stop watching because of how annoying Ana Lucia is.
She's overtly rude in every single interaction and refuses to explain anything to her fellow survivors. Everyone is traumatized, but she's just mean. She yells at Jin for not being able to speak English. The worst part is that she embodies every stereotype about shitty cops and it's so obvious in every interaction: dictatorial, trigger happy, holier than thou, and unwilling to reckon with her own flaws while blaming everyone else for triggering her. Like it sucks that she got burned in the past, but no one is telling her to take charge and she still insists on doing so.

I like the subtle continuity realism of LOST
I mean scenes and comments that make the island feel a real and a realistically confined place.
For example seeing the Egyptian statue before the plot required it or finding Shannon's inhaler after so many years, the cable on the beach being seen in season 6 when it's no longer needed. The lighthouse is an obvious exception but it's probably magical and not a normal feature of the island.
These little things show extra work and attention to detail which bring back subtle nostalgia.

Do No Harm EXPLAINED - LOST Episode Guide (Season 1 Episode 20)
Get the tissues ready for the most emotional episode of the season in which life and death hang in the balance on The Island, quite literally. We shall explore all things Jack as the man is pushed to his limits as a doctor in the wild; explore why the first…
Does anyone remember an old channel on YouTube that would re-edit lost scenes to make them absurd and hilarious?
The main video of theirs I’m looking for is the video with Jack and John arguing outside of the Orchid and it ends with Jack going “There’s no such things as islands, John!”

Finally finished the show this past week, a few questions -
I can't even express how depressed I've felt since finishing the show, I've thought about it every day and have never had a show impact me this way. But that's for another post! I'm sure I have a million questions from throughout the show that I can't remember, but a couple have been running through my head.
This one is difficult to word but why, in the flash sideways, was Juliet David's mother even though they show Juliet and Sawyer taking eachother to the "light" at the end? I guess Juliet and Jack could've had a kid together and then Juliet+Sawyer cross over together once they find eachother, but at that point why have Juliet be the mom? Kind of diminishes Juliet and Sawyer's reunion for me so I've been trying to just ignore it. I've also read (on a 15 year old post) that there are theories that David does really exist, but that Kate is his mom and gave birth after Jack died. My thought was just that David is kid Jack and that David is Jack's way of being able to move on (into the afterlife) from his father-son issues. Can someone put the Kate-being-pregnant at the end thing to rest for me? I'm thinking too hard about it
Was Walt ever actually the one messaging Michael on the computer, or was that MiB?
Can someone explain the lighthouse to me like I'm 5 or was that just a more unexplained part of the show? Was it just Jacob's way of monitoring his candidates?
Why have Jack become the "protector" at all if his duty was to put the cork back in? I guess going straight to Hurley would have been a letdown for some people? Or I guess he was just destined to be a very short-term but extremely important protector?
I can't wait to rewatch this show for the rest of my life but I have to mourn it longer before I restart and answer these questions better myself :,)

Make Your Own Kind of Music
I can't be the only person who gets all over body chills when that song plays.
It has an actual physical effect on me, all these years later.
That kind of blows my mind.
I can't be the only one, can I?

Lost had a huge impact on me.
I’ve watched it for the first time when I was 12 years old. It was on Netflix. I watched the whole entire series in two weeks on a little shitty android tablet. I remember how much my brother’s made fun of me for never leaving my room.
The moment that John Locke stood up on the beach with that music playing gave me deep chills that I have not experienced since that day. I do think John will always be my favorite character. I don’t like what was done with his character towards the end, but that music. The music that plays with John. It gives me so many chills. I remember standing in my room what played when he started to stand and the music… I was sobbing. I think it’s my favorite moment ever on television.
I started watching it because I was a huge vampire diaries fan , and I had a crush on Damon, who has played by the same actor who played Boone

Rank the Seasons
SPOILERS IN THE DESCRIPTION:
I’m sure this post has been made hundreds of times (let’s guess 108 for the sake of including a show reference), but I always like getting people’s thoughts on how they’d rank the seasons. I feel like there’s less of a definitive order among fans of this show than others. Here’s how I’d rank them:
1) Season 4 — All killer, no filler. It takes the years of character development and world building before it and accelerates the plot while folding in more sci-fi/fantasy stuff. I feel like people understate just how well the show pulls off the evolution from survival drama to mystery with sci-fi and fantasy elements incorporated. No other show could’ve had a character suggest something as ridiculous as moving an island without losing its audience. The flash forwards are also a great change of pace after three seasons of flashbacks.
2) Season 1 — I wish I could watch those first sets of episodes for the first time again. Nearly every episode incorporates some kind of twist, but none of them feel cheap or forced. The middle of the season kind of drags on, same with season 2, but the back third is incredibly strong.
3) Season 5 — This was my favorite on first watch. I just remember having a lot of fun with the time travel and the Oceanic 6’s journey back. It’s definitely flawed and heavier on plot/lighter on character development than other seasons, but this feels like the show taking advantage of the good will it built up from years of unrivaled character development for a mystery box show. It feels like almost every LOST copy cat show tried replicating the vibe of this season without thinking to build the foundation that S1-4 did.
4) Season 6 — Probably unpopular but I like most of it. The temple stuff is kind of weak and Across the Sea was underwhelming, especially for its placement in the season, but everything else just works for me. I will admit I knew the ending coming in, so that helped me process some of the more confusing plot mechanics and just experience the emotional payoff. I wish the show was less coy about what the flash sideways really was until the last minute, because I feel like knowing it was all purgatory going in helped me enjoy it more. I liked most of the on-island stuff. Widmore’s goons. Survivors deciding where to go between Widmore and MIB. I didn’t hate the deaths as much as some fans did. I wouldn’t have expected anyone to act rationally on that sub, which is probably what the MIB also expected. And I like The End. The sappiness of it works on me I guess.
5) Season 2 — It just doesn’t hold up on rewatch like I’d hope. It’s probably the most mystery heavy season, and knowing how quickly some stuff gets solved (who is Henry Gale?, does the hatch actually matter?, etc.) before season’s end makes it far less compelling on rewatch, regardless of how well those stories were pulled off in the moment. It’s also harder to be invested in the tail section survivors as much on rewatch because the three most prominent ones are all killed off by S3 Ep5. I understand there were circumstances that necessitated those actors being written out of the show, as well as Michael and Walt, so I empathize with the writers. It just makes it harder to replicate the feeling you had on first watch when you know how inconsequential some of the important parts of the season were in the grander scheme. Additionally, the middle section of the season was kind of weak and featured some of the weakest character centric episodes (Charlie especially). It feels like the show needed to kill time and ended up manufacturing some character drama.
6) Season 3 — If I could split this season in half, the back section of the season would be number 1 with a bullet. One of the strongest stretches of any TV show, period. Unfortunately, the front half of the season, prior to “The Man from Tallahassee”, features some of the weakest episodes in the show. Jack/Kate/Sawyer on Hydra Island is drawn out. It features some of the weakest flashbacks (Jack’s tattoos, obviously). There’s a few bangers (Not

in Portland, Flashes, Tricia Tanaka, Cost of Living is a bit underrated and previewed the smoke monster’s purpose/abilities), but the rest feels like the writers killing time and possibly sabotaging the filler episodes on purpose to convince the network to negotiate an end date for the show. Nikki and Paolo suck. It’s tough having three major characters separated from the rest. Ben Linus also doesn’t really become interesting until he links up with Locke.
