The bank predicts a slide of 23% could be on the cards for US stock markets if the predicted correction on the top 20 stocks - which surged 27% year-to-date - comes to fruition.
Analysts at JP Morgan forecast the S&P 500 index could drop as low as 4,200, which would open up BRICS currencies to take advantage of forex markets as local currency trades surge.
As more BRICS members look to cut ties with US dollar trade, the markets are likely to plunger further, the bank added.

Modi’s visits to Moscow and Vienna will be the first set of bilateral visits in the third term of his government. Usually, the first foreign visit by the Indian PM is to the neighbouring countries.
While this will be Modi’s first visit to Russia since the war started in February 2022, it will be the first visit by an Indian PM to Austria in 41 years, after Indira Gandhi in 1983.
