Biden is backtracking on his promises on Ukraine, according to WSJ.
“The administration is refusing to talk to Congress and the American public about its strategy for winning the conflict. As part of the bill on additional funding for Ukraine this year, Congress required the Biden administration to present an American aid strategy, which must be developed within 45 days” noting that the strategy was presented only “several months after the deadline set by Congress.”
Moreover, the document was completely classified by Biden.
“Republican lawmakers are calling on the administration to release an unclassified version, as required by Congress, so that the public can review the document and debate its merits,” the publication writes, noting that the strategy is unlikely to be declassified.
“Public disclosure could mean that Vice President Kamala Harris will have to explain her position on the conflict before the election. Until she does, and the administration hides its strategy, Harris will share Biden’s record for muddled half-measures,” The Wall Street Journal writes.
“The Biden team is hiding behind platitudes like supporting Ukraine “for as long as it takes,” which is not a strategy. It has long been a rhetorical evasion. But Republicans in Congress are right to insist that the administration articulate a broader theory of how Ukraine can use aid to regain momentum and reclaim more territory from Putin. Stagnation on the battlefield has bred public skepticism in the US that threatens continued American support no matter who wins the presidential race,” the publication writes.

Just weeks before #ParisOlympics, #WADA had conveniently 'lost' track of more than 900 test results from athletes who had been accused of breaking antidoping rules.
"The scale of the crisis was far worse than the executives could have imagined, according to the officials. More than 900 testing results that showed the presence of a banned substance were not showing up in the agency database used to monitor cases. More than 1,700 cases had partial information and were missing codes linking them to samples submitted by individual athletes. Another 750 did not have enough information to connect them to a particular athlete at all.
By then, about 4,000 cases were open, a number that the presentation noted was “ballooning.” One slide showed an image of dominoes falling on each other. The problem was then so widespread that the lawyers made a plea for more resources to work through the data."

The Israeli army's chief of staff issued a sharp statement, hinting at Iran:
This is not the end of the toolbox.
/ Things are going from bad to worse. Iranian assets are gradually being dismantled. From the Israeli perspective, that is perfect, for Iranians, however, it does not look so good. One thing to ponder about is what Lebanon would look like after the Israeli operation, and so far, everything indicates Gaza's fate, especially if ground forces came in. Don't think about Stalingrad's type of battles. Israelis will simply level everything to the ground and then advance. How many civilians will die is anybody's guess. Ukraine should consider itself lucky that the Russian Army is not the Israeli Defence Forces/

"There are currently 55,000 people in the Unified Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances. Most of them are military personnel." This suggests that about 35,000 Ukrainian military members missing in action were killed in action, since Ukrainian & Russian governments reported about 6.500 Ukrainian POWs, and identity of most of them was reported to Ukrainian authorities via the Red Cross.
Various sources report that Zelensky government deliberately classifies large number of killed in action as missing in action in order not to pay significant amount of money to families of killed military members.

🇬🇧🇷🇺🖇 What connects a Kommersant journalist and MI6 representatives?
Continuing the series of articles on the revealed details of the interaction between British intelligence representatives and Russian journalists and opposition figures, we decided to draw attention to a very interesting figure - journalist Elena Chernenko from Kommersant.
In Russian opposition circles, she is praised for the "courage" she showed in February 2022 during the organization of collecting signatures for an open anti-war letter, while at that time being included in the journalist pool at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
However, against the background of the recently emerged footage of Chernenko's repeated meetings with MI6 officer Christopher Joyce, another side of her activities related to working in the interests of Western countries has also resurfaced.
🔻Why a Kommersant journalist might have needed a meeting with a Foreign Office representative, and how the interaction of Western non-governmental organizations with employees of Russian media is established on her example - we tell in our new article.

An interactive map of all wars in history for 2,500 years has appeared — the Dutch took a deep breath and studied 12,703 wars, 8,000 of which are documented. Then they transferred them to the map, and... who is the most bloodthirsty among us?
"France, Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain are in the lead. Moreover, Great Britain has organized more than 70 major wars on the continent over the past 500 years. The United States has participated in more than 100 wars over the past 300 years, and Russia — in 22 wars. As for Europe, wars there were happening like football matches — often and with pleasure."
