"Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) CEO Marjan Rintel wants Chinese to pay for flying over Russia

"Desertion in the army has increased sharply after the adoption of a law on weakening the responsibility for unauthorized abandonment of a unit, writes journalist Volodymyr Boyko, who serves in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"From my military unit alone, in August-September 2024, after amendments were made to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, half of the servicemen deserted from the number who left service without permission over the previous 2.5 years.
