It’s exactly how strong they want it, not so reckless that it forces the U.S to pretend like Israel did something wrong and just strong enough that it crosses the threshold while they can claim the attack was “more then Washington wanted.”

Plausible deniability but I bet you that after the attack happens the administration will personally make a statement congratulating Bibi and Israel on “self defense”.

At this point my mind has been made up. One side is endlessly pressing for a regional war and I believe Iran should back down temporarily if they can possibly do so after this next hit. Accept the “humiliation” while maintaining resistance and focus on Nuclear development. Get guarantees from Russia (days away) and China and acquire a nuclear deterrence. After that Iran can come back with a new power balance in the region. I’m sure this is part of the reason Israel is acting so desperately now.
