▪️Iran can retaliate and give US the war it desperately seeks to provoke, although will likely continue striking Iran regardless, it's out of time and all bets are off;

The IDF established a secret drone base in Iran from which the strikes were carried out.
The operation had been in preparation for years. According to Israel Hayom, it involved commandos, drones and mobile strike systems. It was carried out in three stages:
- Mossad agents had planted weapons in advance at Iranian air defenses, which struck in sync with the Israeli Air Force;
- Mobile complexes jammed air defense systems, covering up to 200 Israeli aircraft;
- Drones launched from secret Israeli base inside Iran destroy launch pads at Esfajabad base

Those waiting for an emotionally-satisfying Iranian retaliation are going to be disappointed by what will likely be instead a very measured, patient, strategic response focused on Iran's survival through what is a major US-Israeli military campaign targeting its political, military, and civilian infrastructure and ultimately seeking regime change.
There is also the reality of what Iranian military capabilities can actually achieve - most of which were aimed at creating deterrence, not actually eliminating any sort of US or Israeli military capability.
Iran has survived decades under US-led siege, sanctions, subversion, terrorism, and proxy war - and that is its primary goal now.
