This statutory Fare Adjustment Mechanism passed by the Legislative Council in 2007 and is subject to review with Government’s consent, the current mechanism works in:

0.5 x year-on-year Nominal Wage Index (Transportation Section) fluctuation level

0.5 x Composite Consumer Price Index fluctuation level

0.6 %

= the new fares for the applicable year solely calculated by this formula and not related to MTR's business profit or service performance

This mechanism also brings the fares rebate offer for at least six months each year while ~$2.8 billion long-term offers are provided this year alongside when accountable to shareholders

🎶 掃墓 掃墓 咁遠路 🎶

#羅湖 站位處邊境禁區，乘客如非持有效旅遊證件準備過境，都要持有《禁區許可證》方可進出 ⚠️

每逢春秋二祭， 警方都會作特別安排，容許掃墓人士使用羅湖站 出口 A - 羅湖村 ，同埋相鄰嘅政府行人隧道，經羅湖村一帶前往沙嶺墳場

而往年運輸署嘅統計顯示，火車係最多掃墓人士會搭嘅交通工具，所以喺邊境管制站關閉之後，政府仍然有意維持每年兩次俾掃墓人士嘅特別安排，於是羅湖站會局部開放，維持基本車站服務，不過商戶就唔會營業

期間，車站嘅通告都會提醒乘客列車會否前往羅湖、落馬洲站，羅湖站只服務掃墓人士，抑或係馬場站是否開放等唔同嘅列車服務模式 📜

Lo Wu Station is located inside Frontier Closed Area, only passengers with Closed Area Permit or valid travel documents and ready for border crossing journeys are allowed ⚠️

During Ching Ming and Chung Yeung Festivals, Hong Kong Police will carry out a special arrangement for letting grave visitors to use Lo Wu Station Exit A - Lo Wu Village and adjacent public pedestrian tunnels then reach Sandy Ridge Cemetery via the vicinity of Lo Wu Village

According to Transport Department’s past statistic, trains is the most popular travelling mode used by grave visitors. Therefore the Government is maintaining this special arrangement twice a year with Lo Wu station partially opened to maintain basic passenger service while #MTR Shops do not operate

Notices will be posted up across the East Rail Line to remind passengers if services will serve Lo Wu / Lok Ma Chau or Lo Wu Station is partially opened or Racecourse Station is business as usual or not 📜
