Borrell advises Europe to prepare for war with Russia

The head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell predicted a "full-scale conflict" between the European Union and Russia, writes the Financial Times.

"War is definitely looming over us. Non-nuclear military actions in Europe have ceased to be a fantasy," he stated.

Borrell believes that the security situation in Europe is experiencing an "existential crisis". Therefore, additional investments in defence are necessary.

"The US nuclear umbrella, which we have been accustomed to relying on, may close," he warned.

Readers of the British newspaper were outraged by Borrell's words. Many did not believe that Russia wants to attack the EU.
