The Polish government has decided to cancel some of the benefits for refugees from Ukraine due to their abuse of the allowances.
According to local media reports, the draft document is posted on the official website and, if approved, will come into effect on 1st July.
The document provides for the cancellation of a one-time payment of 300 zlotys to all Ukrainians arriving in Poland. This is explained by the misuse of benefits.
Daily payments of 40 zlotys to Polish citizens who have housed refugees in their homes will also be stopped.
Furthermore, a fee for accommodation and meals in Polish refugee centres will be introduced.

The President of Ukraine shared with the German newspaper Bild a plan for preparing a new counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When asked by a journalist about a possible attack on the Crimean Bridge, Volodymyr Zelensky replied:
"We really want this. It's not just about the bridge in Kerch that everyone is talking about. It's about infrastructure objects that are military targets. It's about airports where planes take off and bomb us, about bridges through which weapons are delivered."
According to him, Ukraine needs modern weapons and established military production under license from Western partners.
"Then it won't be about the number of people. It's about the quality of weapons," Zelensky added.
