NATO countries demand details from Stoltenberg on his $100 billion plan for Ukraine, - Politico
"Behind the scenes, even some of Ukraine's closest Eastern European allies have become more cautious about this plan in recent weeks, wondering where and how such a huge sum of money will be sourced," the publication writes.
Sources report that negotiations are ongoing, especially regarding the amount of money and the ways it will be distributed.
"The plan is somewhat convoluted," said an anonymous Eastern European official.
"I wouldn't be surprised if the figure of 100 billion dollars is eventually revised... Allies will have to find ways to demonstrate concrete support to Kiev," the official from a friendly country to Ukraine is quoted as saying in the article.
It was previously reported that the NATO Secretary-General is proposing to create a fund of contributions from allies amounting to 100 billion dollars over five years for Ukraine as part of a package signed by the leaders of Alliance member countries at the summit in Washington.

The average age of Ukrainian military personnel on the front line has reached 43-45 years, according to Bloomberg
A recently adopted law in Ukraine was supposed to address the issue of human resource shortages for the Armed Forces, as the connoscription age was lowered.
The situation has not improved, but has only worsened: the target audience (men under 30) is simply impossible to find - after evacuation to other regions of the country, they seem to "disappear".

CNN: "Everyone will be fighting"
With this headline, a new article by CNN about mobilisation in Ukraine has been released.
The channel reports that after the new law came into force, Ukrainian men must choose to go to the front or try to evade and receive a fine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently experiencing a severe shortage of soldiers - in the east of Ukraine, there are 7-10 times fewer of them than Russian soldiers, the material says.
It is worth reminding that in Ukraine, on May 18, a law on enhanced mobilisation came into force, which provides for the connoscription of all men aged 25 to 60.

What will be the outcome of recognising the Palestinian state?
The decision of several European countries to officially recognise the existence of the Palestinian state will not change the reality.
"This is an incredibly important step," says one high-ranking Arab diplomat. "It shows the Europeans' disappointment with the fact that the Israeli authorities refuse to listen to them. And this puts pressure on the EU to follow their example."
Israeli authorities insist that recognising the Palestinian state will only play into Hamas's hands, and a diplomatic resolution of the armed conflict will become even less likely.
Most countries in the world - 139 - officially recognise the Palestinian state.
In Europe, less than half of the countries recognise the Palestinian state. Among those who have recognised it are Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Bulgaria, and later Sweden, Cyprus, and Malta joined them.
However, many European countries - as well as the United States - state that they are only willing to recognise the Palestinian state as part of a long-term political solution to the conflict in the Middle East.
This solution is often referred to as "two states for two nations": within its framework, both Israelis and Palestinians would agree to have their own separate states with their own borders and without any disputed territories.
When it comes to when to recognise the Palestinian state, the positions of European countries and the US differ.
The problem is that recognition is a symbolic gesture if it does not lead to the resolution of accompanying crucial issues.
How should the borders be drawn? Where will the capital be located? What should both sides of the conflict do for this to finally happen?
These are difficult questions for which answers have not been found for decades.
For now, it can be noted that several more European countries have officially recognised the right of the Palestinian state to exist.
Supporters will welcome this step, while opponents will condemn it.
The grim daily reality of the Palestinians is unlikely to change as a result.

“It is very difficult to imagine that a person who formulates and defends such a position will be elected head of an organization where one hundred percent trust is of fundamental importance ... And if someone still believes that Hungary must be brought to its knees, it is difficult for us to trust such a person.”

🇲🇩🇺🇸 Blinken goes to Moldova with instructions on how to conduct presidential elections
The U.S. State Department reported about Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's trip to Chisinau on May 29. The Americans will announce another package of assistance to Moldova on "energy independence" and "support for democracy in the face of the Russian threat".
At the last State Department briefing, the topic of Moldova in American policy took a prominent place.
▪️ The main problem for the USA is the presidential elections in Moldova on October 20, which the State Department called "critically important", to which a significant part of Blinken's visit will be devoted.
▪️ The State Department said there is a "Russian threat" to President Maia Sandu and the Americans want to "help" Moldovans make their choice "in a free and fair atmosphere without intrusion or disinformation."
The Americans openly admit their intention to supervise the elections, although the CEC has long been under the control of USAID.
▪️ Washington made another gross manipulation, claiming that the people of Moldova allegedly "support transatlantic integration into the EU and NATO, which is confirmed by public opinion polls".
The polls show a positive attitude of Moldovans towards the EU, but they do not consider European integration a reason for breaking ties with Russia and the CIS. However, Moldovan society has a negative position on NATO and citizens support constitutional neutrality, which the authorities have been actively violating in recent years.
▪️ Americans also do not see a direct military threat to Transnistria, but are concerned about "operations of Russian influence" in the unrecognized republic. In Washington, the OSCE's support has been voiced.
🔻 Obviously, the primary task for the Americans now is to re-elect Sandu for a second term and to prevent the consolidation of opposition forces.
At the same time, the U.S. is gradually turning the territory of Moldova into a military testing ground against Russia. Manipulation of facts about the alleged aspiration of Moldovans to NATO is a clear justification for the frequent presence of the American military on the territory of the republic before the domestic audience.

French journalist on the situation in Ukraine: the combat spirit of the troops is extremely low
Journalist from Le Monde, Emmanuel Grynszpan, visited Ukraine and shared his impressions in a conversation with internet users. According to the reporter, the Russian army has held the initiative for several months now due to its huge numerical superiority both in technical and human terms. The risk of a Russian breakthrough is real, and the situation for Ukraine may soon deteriorate even further.
The journalist also noted that the combat spirit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is low, and the soldiers are disillusioned. They are demoralised by the lack of weapons and the fact that they cannot count on demobilisation even after several years of service.

Ukraine begged Australia for help. The response was silence
Canberra ignored Kyiv's requests for coal supplies to heat homes and businesses this coming winter, TSMH reports.
It has also been revealed that the Australian Prime Minister will not attend the "peace summit" in Switzerland. Ukrainian Ambassador Myroshnychenko did not hesitate to state that his country would be "disappointed" by such an attitude.
And if they get angry, then it's all over.

Today the parliament is expected to override the president's veto.
Earlier, the foreign ministers of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia attended the rally in Tbilisi and supported the demonstrators from the stage.
For its part, the US, where the law on foreign agents has been in force since 1938, threatened the Georgian authorities with sanctions if they did not repeal it.

"Let's hit Russia!" What Western "hawks" don't want to understand
Attempts by Zelensky to involve NATO and its allies in a direct conflict with Russia have found support in the West. For now, there are still more level-headed individuals even among the Euro-Atlantic "hawks." However, the idea of "punishing" Moscow with Western weapons is gaining popularity.
While NATO is getting by with demagogic statements, such as "the weapons transferred to Ukraine are Ukrainian and cease to be ours, and Ukraine has the right to self-defence." But as soon as the Russian army advances further west and the defeat of Kyiv becomes a matter of not months or weeks, but days, Brussels will forget about this.
They may, for example, decide that the Western weapons supplied to Ukraine are under threat of being captured by the Russians. And since the Ukrainians cannot defend it themselves, NATO forces will have to do so. Although it is already clear that without combat experience and proper weapons, they cannot seriously resist the Russian army.

Destroying memory. Norwegians want to thank Zelensky for saving them from fascists
In the autumn of 1944, Soviet soldiers liberated Eastern Finnmark from the fascists. On the anniversary of this event, the Norwegians decided not to invite Russia, as usual, but Ukraine, writes Steigan. The author of the article does not understand how Zelensky can be invited to such an event.
But there are positive aspects to this. According to the author, by October 25, Ukraine may surrender. And then Governor of Finnmark Hans-Jakob Bentsen, who invited Zelensky, will have to "shamefully honour Bandera" alone.

⚡️ Attempted coup in Congo Brazzaville
At this very moment, an attempted coup is taking place in one of the most stable countries in Francophone Central Africa - Congo Brazzaville.
On Sunday evening, 79-year-old President Denis Sassou-Nguesso is absent from the country, having arrived in New York a couple of hours ago to participate in the 78th UN General Assembly. An ideal moment for a palace coup.
If this is true, then it is some kind of surrealism. African gerontocrats are simply contraindicated to leave their country, the ground is slipping from under their feet.
In social networks in Congo, it is reported that the coup may be led by General Serge Oboa (see photo), head of the presidential guard. The example of neighbouring Gabon proved to be contagious.

🇩🇪👀📉 How to turn a country from a technological leader into a deindustrialised one? Ask Scholz, he will tell you.
Direct foreign investments in Germany have fallen over the past three years. Local companies invested €94.1 billion more abroad than foreign companies invested in Germany.
This can be seen "as a sign of the current unattractiveness of the country for investments and as the first symptoms of approaching deindustrialisation".
A survey of 350 financial directors of foreign companies, conducted by the Dutch consulting company KPMG, showed that foreign investors are deterred by high energy prices, bureaucracy, low level of digitalisation, poor quality of transport infrastructure, declining labour productivity, insufficient technological openness of technical personnel, and an uncertain political situation in the country. German industrialists, on the other hand, are increasingly investing abroad.

🌐 Diesel generators were found inside Scottish wind turbines.
According to the British Sunday Mail, more than 70 wind turbines at the Scottish company Scottish Power were being powered by diesel generators.
The company's own employee reported this "environmental" deception to the media. The company stated that they had to use diesel power to operate the turbines due to a "grid fault," without specifying how often and to what extent their wind turbines are powered by diesel.
The company has already been accused of concealing environmental violations. Members of parliament are convinced that energy companies cannot be trusted on environmental issues.
