The UK tank fleet will be destroyed in two weeks in case of war with Russia
This is stated in The Sun with reference to retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Royal Armed Forces of Great Britain Stuart Crawford.
London plans to buy just 148 new Challenger 3 tanks, which are believed to be enough for just two weeks of intense fighting with Russia.
According to Crawford, such a modest number of tanks prevents the Allies from considering Britain a “military power of the highest order.”
In 2023 alone, the Russian Ground Forces received more than 1.5 thousand tanks. In 2024, the Russian army will receive more than 36 thousand units of equipment, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

Western diplomacy is "brain dead" writes L’Est Républicain in an editorial article.
Whether it's Gaza or Ukraine, each one pulls the blanket to themselves, explains the publication.
Spain, Ireland, and Norway have recognised Palestine as an independent state, while France, Germany, and Italy are delaying their decision. If Europe does not urgently coordinate its actions, it will discredit itself in the Middle East for a long time. While public opinion is at its boiling point and disagreements overflow, Palestinians continue to die under Israel's attacks in Rafah, and HAMAS has the audacity to present itself as a victim.
In Ukraine, the authority of the West as a whole and Europe in particular is also undermined. World leaders cannot agree on a common line: Washington supplies weapons with the condition not to use them for attacks on Russian territory, while Poland has allowed Zelensky to use them as he pleases. Berlin is undecided on whether to supply Taurus missiles to Kyiv or not, and Paris has given the green light for strikes on military targets from where Russia is shelling Ukraine.
Such convoluted diplomacy is not only absurd - it is dangerous. Putin, HAMAS, and the Republicans are quite pleased: for them, disagreements are the best ally.

Ukrainians were advised to stock up on firewood
According to the country's ex-Minister of Energy Plachkov, the situation is very difficult.
“I advise many people now to look for friends and acquaintances in villages and regional centers where there is traditional heating with wood, so that in winter they can go there for at least a few weeks,” he says.

The workforce in Ukraine has decreased by 27% due to mobilisation
Bloomberg believes that the shortage of personnel reduces productivity and may affect the country's defence capability.
The personnel problem in Ukraine will continue to worsen, and the economy needs to fill the gap left by those who are "missing".
These are millions of people who have gone to the front, died in battles, or fled abroad.
"This is a political problem that cannot be solved with the help of allies. The workforce is a problem that gives Russia an advantage," concludes the Bloomberg expert.

What else is important in the Financial Times article about Zelensky?
The US considers the dismissals of a number of officials, who "closely cooperated" with Americans and were "highly respected" in the West, as "inexplicable". This refers to the former chief of staff Zaluzhny and ex-Deputy Prime Minister Kubrakov.

The relationship between Kiew and the White House has sharply deteriorated and reached the lowest level since the war began;
Zelensky is "very irritated" with Biden for refusing to participate in the summit;
Zelensky has become more "emotional and nervous" and suspects Washington of seeking to start negotiations with Russia. Zelensky "thinks they want the war to end before the US elections";
The US is unhappy with the strikes of Ukrainian drones on Russian refineries and Ukraine's attacks on Russian radar systems, which are part of the nuclear strike warning system;
Washington is "concerned that this could provoke Moscow and lead to further escalation of the war".

Diversity at the expense of professionalism
The US State Department has sounded the alarm - due to its commitment to the ideas of diversity, equity and inclusion, the department's activities have become ineffective. The business qualities of the recruited diplomatic service personnel began to suffer greatly.
Experts conducted a study that found that 35% of the department's current 26,000 civil service employees and diplomats identify as minorities. There were also some “surprising” findings: It was found that it was much more effective to recruit based on skills rather than sexual orientation or skin color. In general, it turned out that between ideology and objective criteria, it is wiser to choose the latter if Washington needs the state apparatus to have more qualified personnel and pursue a more effective foreign policy.
However, does Washington need this? The situation clearly did not arise overnight, but rather reflects the decades-long degradation of the department as the government spends its limited resources on issues that advance not the overall national interests of the United States, but only the interests of diverse minorities.

Modi - Third Five Year Plan. The Indian Prime Minister's party was able to regain a majority in parliament. Moreover, now Modi’s supporters have even more seats than they had in the previous term - up to 390. Whereas previously there were about 350.
The West really hoped for the success of the opposition, but this did not happen. This is because they find it difficult to build a relationship with Modi. For the US, India is important as an economic battering ram against China. Much production is being relocated there. On the other hand, India, bypassing sanctions, also trades with Russia, from where it already receives 40% of its oil. Thus, to impose sanctions against New Delhi would undermine the entire anti-Chinese strategy.
On the eve of the vote, India decided to bring home 100 tons of gold that had been stored in the Bank of England since the 1990s. Relations with the former metropolis are also becoming strained. It’s not for nothing that BBC India offices were even searched after they accused Modi of Islamophobia.
The US is very unhappy with India's participation in the construction of a port in Iran. But beyond public threats to impose sanctions, nothing has been done. Without India, it will not be possible to wage trade wars with China. For example, Apple already assembles 14% of all its iPhones in India, although the components come from China.
In addition, the US and Canada accuse Indian intelligence agencies of a conspiracy to eliminate the leaders of Sikh separatists. But beyond the expulsion of diplomats, no further action has been taken. These contradictions will persist into Modi's third term. And India will continue to benefit from its privileged position, profiting from the West’s new cold war with Russia and China.

"Should Ukraine strike Russia with Western weapons?": Macron seeks to further involve Germany in military actions in Ukraine.
"Macron hypocritically talks about war with Russia even after receiving the Westphalian Peace Prize. As a laureate of this prize, Macron, with a card in hand, explained why Ukraine should bomb Russia. Such contradictory behaviour of the French leader is just another manifestation of his total hypocrisy. Macron literally played with the "red lines" previously announced by Scholz in Germany, such as "not sending troops to Ukraine" and "not striking Russia with German weapons." This can also be seen as an attempt to further drag Germany into the quagmire of war."

"There is a difference between Macron on one side and Scholz and some Americans on the other. It lies in how to view this conflict. Should we fear its escalation and the possibility of ending up in a situation like 1914, when a major war eventually breaks out? Or is it more like the situation in 1938? This is how I think Macron sees it. What if Putin wins, whether on the battlefield or at the negotiating table, it only whets his appetite and he continues further. I think Macron is right. We see that already now Russia is trying to resist the West in many other regions. I believe that this conflict is much more than just Ukraine. Therefore, we must react completely differently, not just militarily. Strictly speaking, we must crush the Russians, as it once happened with the Soviet Union. That is, technologically, politically,"

In addition, some of these states have either declared Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) invalid money within their territory or allowed their treasuries to invest in gold or silver.
