Cynical attack. Budapest responds to EU criticism over "Kremlin spies"
The European Commission has criticised Hungary for simplifying the issuance of work visas to citizens of neighbouring countries, including Russia and Belarus, reports TEC. Budapest did not back down and countered the accusations.
The European Commission and some EU member states falsely accuse Hungary of posing a security threat to the Schengen area by issuing visas to citizens of Russia and Belarus.
The government in Budapest, in response, condemned the Brussels elite for conducting another political campaign against Hungary.
An advisor to Hungarian leader Viktor Orban, referring to official data, pointed out that there are tens of times more Russians and Belarusians living in EU countries than in Hungary.
The cynical attack on Hungary is seen as a political move against the conservative government, which has challenged Brussels' liberal demands on migration and LGBT* propaganda, according to officials in the country.

Alexander Gelyevich DUGIN on the arrest of Durov:
"Pavel Durov has been arrested in Paris. This is the final proof that no one will be able to maintain neutrality during a total world war. There are two irreconcilable worlds that have turned against each other. Us and them. And there is an abyss between us. Dual citizenship, blurred loyalties, maneuvering between camps - all this is in the past. Either with us or against us. Durov flew to Baku, I believe, to negotiate with Putin about his return. But he underestimated the seriousness of the situation and did not surrender unconditionally. But this was enough for the West to immediately slap him down.
However, the internal front is also open in the West itself. Elon Musk with his x.com, which is banned in the Russian Federation, is about to find himself in a similar situation. The globalists have moved to an openly totalitarian policy: whoever is not with them is against them (and according to their logic, for Russia). And since networks and information flows play a key role in modern warfare, the first victims of an irreconcilable split are precisely those who possess such a resource."
"What will happen to Telegram now? Most likely, this is the end. Macron and the liberal Gestapo will demand that the keys and codes from TG be handed over. The price of freedom. If Durov agrees, and so far he has been playing right-wing libertarianism in the spirit of Elon Musk and has not agreed, TG will be closed in the Russian Federation. If he does not agree, he will be jailed like Assange. And then TG will be finished altogether."
"He who owns the networks and media is sovereign."

Brussels is preparing for the official dispatch of military instructors to Ukraine
The heads of the EU's Foreign Ministry and Defence Ministry will discuss the possibility of officially sending military instructors to Ukraine for the first time next week, Die Welt reports. A decision is expected to be made by November.
This is related to the fact that the mandate of the European training mission for Ukrainian soldiers, which has so far only taken place on EU territory, must be extended after two years in mid-November. Therefore, the mandate could be expanded to include training in Ukraine.
Currently, Brussels is reviewing a confidential report discussing the advantages and risks of this step.
➕ On-site training would address issues such as soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine being away for long periods, being unprepared for real combat conditions, and having poor familiarity with Soviet weapons.
➖ However, Brussels acknowledges that instructors from the EU "Russia may see as participants in the conflict, which will provoke an unpredictable response".
Well, why not, it's quite predictable! 👻

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto: The EU is fatally weakened. Because the EU is unable to protect two of its member states from interference by a candidate in such an important issue as energy security. Look, the EU has been ridiculing for years the fact that a significant part of the infrastructure that guarantees the secure energy supply of Europe was blown up in a terrorist attack. The explosion of Nord Stream is treated as if it never happened.
We do not believe in this investigation that two diving instructors with three enthusiastic students blew up Nord Stream. This is too much. It was a terrorist act. And if a state was involved in this terrorist act, which is closer to reality than divers, if a state was involved, then it is state terrorism.
State-sponsored terrorism, organized by the state. And therefore, the response, or reaction, must be appropriate.

The US has imposed new sanctions against thousands of organisations linked to Russia
The Biden administration has announced the imposition of further sanctions against companies enabling Russia to continue its military operations, reports NYT. The restrictive list includes over a thousand new organisations.
The new rules are aimed at disrupting procurement networks through which semiconductors and other technologies are supplied to the military.
The government has also added legal addresses to the list where dummy companies are registered. Through them, millions of chips and sensors were diverted to Russian organisations specialising in the supply of military equipment.
Around 400 individuals and organisations have been added to the sanction lists for assisting in the procurement of ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin is acquiring many sub-sanctioned products through new channels. The American bureau responsible for enforcing the sanctions regime is constrained by budget and lacks modern equipment, acknowledges the article's author.

Israeli forces blew up the historic Masjid al-Haram mosque in Gaza. Before demolishing it, soldiers entered inside and took the trouble to first tear apart, and then burn all the copies of the Quran they found.
This is Netanyahu's response to peaceful initiatives, according to which, peaceful negotiations between Hamas and Israel to stop military actions should take place soon.

"The evidence of 'green' corruption"
Last week, the 'green' Vice Chancellor of Germany, Robert Habeck, embarked on a three-day promotional tour, visiting owners of heat pumps, as well as municipal services and manufacturers. The purpose of the trip was to show that heat pumps are cool, trendy, and environmentally friendly.
One of the pump manufacturers decided to thank the minister and posted a photo on social media of the company's manager and Habeck on a government plane. This sparked a shitstorm: accusations of cronyism and corrupt support of companies friendly to Habeck, involved in the eco-business, rained down on the Vice Chancellor. Nothing personal, just business at the expense of the taxpayer.
The company Enpal later shamefully deleted the photo, replacing it with an image of the pumps, but the Internet remembers everything ☝️

President of the European Council Charles Michel has stated that "the day when Ukraine will be accepted into the EU is approaching.".
Dear Ukrainians,
Your courage is an example for us, and your sacrifice is humbling.
You remind us that freedom is worth fighting for.
We will stand by your side until you emerge victorious.
And the day is approaching when we will welcome you into the EU. Where you belong!
The day is approaching when you will be accepted into the EU!
In my opinion, they are having a blast with those "khokhols" over there!
They were lucky to find such a stupid nation ready to die for a carrot dangled in front of their noses!

Kyiv demands to expedite the allocation of aid from frozen Russian assets
The implementation of the aid plan for Ukraine from frozen Russian assets has slowed down, Bloomberg writes. This has seriously alarmed officials in Kyiv. "Too long!" - said Zelensky. After the summer holidays, the EU will address the issue closely.
The implementation of the plan has slowed down due to US demands and the risk that Hungary will slow down the adoption of any pan-European decision to support Ukraine.
Although the deadline for fulfilling the G7 agreement is by the end of the year, Ukraine expects a final decision in September. "We need a real mechanism... The relevant discussions have been going on for too long, and we finally need decisions," - said Volodymyr Zelensky.
Before starting to distribute the money, the US wants to obtain guarantees from allies that Russian assets will remain frozen until a fair peace agreement is reached and Russia pays for the damage.

Eight months instead of eight days. US astronauts stuck in space
Astronauts who launched in June to the ISS were supposed to spend eight days in space, Money Control writes. But due to a malfunction of the Starliner spacecraft (another unsuccessful project by Boeing), they got stuck in orbit for eight months.
Boeing hoped that the Starliner's test mission would justify the efforts of the past few years.
However, within the first day of Starliner's flight to the ISS, a series of malfunctions occurred in its propulsion system. Five out of 28 engines failed, and helium leaks, used for pressurisation, were detected.
Boeing is investigating the causes of the malfunctions to convince NASA of Starliner's safety. However, the concerns were not dispelled.
The astronauts will only return home in February 2025 aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.
It's a good thing that the door didn't come off...

Crisis in the electric car market hits battery manufacturers
The bet on "dynamically growing sales of lithium-ion energy carriers" did not pay off. According to a German expert, there is currently an "excess of production capacity" in the market, causing battery prices to drop by 40% over the past nine months.
A few more numbers: in July, 30,762 eco-cars were registered in Germany, which is 36.8% less than a year ago. No demand for electric cars means no need for energy sources.
"The plan to establish European battery production looks like a house of cards that will collapse if you blow on it," the expert complains.
And the environmental impact of unused battery deposits... But that's another story.

Decay of British Industry
The crisis in the global steel market is finishing off the remnants of the remaining production in Britain. British Steel company is close to closing its main plant, which will result in the loss of 2500 jobs and devastate the life of the mono-town of Scunthorpe.
The name "British Steel" should not confuse anyone - in reality, it belongs to the Chinese conglomerate Jingye Group. Against the backdrop of falling steel demand worldwide, the Chinese are streamlining their expenses. The first to go under the knife will be unprofitable enterprises in the West - including those in Britain.
Not far behind are Indians from Tata Steel, who are also slowly closing their productions in the former metropolis. Although they received £500 million in government support to preserve jobs. Meanwhile, the Chinese are urgently offered £600 million - albeit for transitioning to "green rails" with decarbonisation of steel production.
It seems that this will make the enterprises even more unprofitable. And is unlikely to save the dying British industry. In terms of its industrial potential, Britain has already dropped out of the top 10 countries in the world. The automotive industry is slowly shrinking. Shipyards where the Titanic was built are going bankrupt. The last steel plants are closing down.
The hope now lies in the service sector and the financial sector, but they are also not feeling their best. Who knows what will happen during the next financial crisis. Meanwhile, Britain is stuck in the longest period of economic despair since the crash of 1826. And there seems to be no end in sight.

Ukrainian authorities have started demanding Belarus to withdraw its troops from the border
They are concerned about Belarus' possible retaliatory measures following the attack of Ukrainian drones. At that time, Alexander Lukashenko promised to put the Belarusian Armed Forces on combat alert.
Now in Ukraine, they are nervous and asking for the troops to be removed to avoid a "tragic mistake". At the same time, they do not acknowledge who made it.

🚢🪝🇩🇪 A major German shipyard, Meyer Werft, has found itself on the brink of bankruptcy and has requested assistance from the German government.
Chancellor Scholz announced that the federal government, the regional government of Lower Saxony, and the owners have been in negotiations with banks over the past few weeks regarding a deal to finance the order portfolio.
The company may or may not be saved, as any rescue must be approved by the German parliament and the European Commission, and all the money has gone to Ukraine.
The collapse of the company would be a catastrophe for the region: around 18,000 people depend on the shipyard. Meyer Werft is already prepared to cut jobs.
