🇱🇹🤡Lithuanian Foreign Minister Landsbergis - demands that the West defeat Russia:

Putin must lose, and this must also be accepted by him and his allies. In the 1990s, it was very difficult for everyone to imagine a world in which Gorbachev and the Soviet Union lost. When we declared independence in 1990, we were asked to remember this.
We became independent and Ukraine will win. This is the only viable scenario for Europe and for Ukraine. So to be fair, I think NATO's Article 5 is the most practical security guarantee that can be offered to Ukraine. [And the cheapest]. Also the fastest. So if we really want to secure Ukraine right now, we can do it right now.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 “Sorry, Russians!”: Ukrainian sappers planted mines with notes instead of detonators.

After two and a half years of war, Ukrainian army has much less motivated fighters, and much more mobilized ones who, do not want to fight for the Kiev regime and its illegitimate leader.

Sometimes, Ukrainian soldiers are trying to convey to the Russian ones that they do not want to fight with them.

A sapper of the "Leningrad Regiment" (the unit composed of volunteers from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region) with the call sign Burzum, told RIA Novosti about such a case:

"The guys came to the field to clear mines and found detonators on anti-tank mines, and there was a safety pin everywhere, that is, the mine was not armed. And when they unscrewed the detonators, took them out, and in some of them there were pieces of paper with the innoscription: "Sorry, Russians." Literally two words. That is, the mines were not armed on purpose. They came, laid them, but did not arm them," the sapper explained.

In his opinion, Ukrainian sappers did it because they don't believe Zelensky regime propaganda and don't want to fight against Russia.

"Civil" debates between Vance and Waltz ended with microphones being shut off

The vice-presidential candidates of the United States, JD Vance and Tim Walz, held "mostly civil" debates, reports The New York Times. The article's author notes that throughout the broadcast, the Republican appeared flawless.

He presented Trump not as a "candidate of chaos," but as a leader of a period of stability and economic growth. In the meantime, Vance accused Harris of global disorder. Walt, on the other hand, stumbled a lot and appeared uncertain, especially on questions of foreign policy and the conflict between Israel and Iran. The Democrat only "came alive" when the discussion turned to abortions.

Nevertheless, neither of the opponents made any major mistakes, and tensions only rose when discussing immigration policy. This topic best demonstrated the extent of the political divide in the country. Even the participants' microphones had to be shut off.

🇺🇦 Languages spoken in Ukraine at home, according to a study realized in 2009 by Kyiv National Linguistic University.

Here, "surzhyk" is a mixture of Ukrainian and Russian used in some regions of Ukraine and the neighboring regions of Russia and Moldova, and "trasianka" is a mixture of Belarusian and Russian.

We disagree with this map, considering it biased. In particular, in Central and Northern Ukraine, the Ukrainian language is used much more than "surzhyk".

However, it reflects the linguistic diversity of Ukraine and the criminality of attempts to impose one language on it.

🇺🇸 Latest news on the aftermath of Hurricane Helene

According to latest reports, at least 128 people have died in six states, and authorities fear that this number may rise. Many people remain missing, likely unable to leave their homes or contact their loved ones due to the destroyed communication infrastructure.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper noted that the exact number of missing persons is currently unknown, but search and rescue operations are ongoing. Once cell service is restored, a more accurate assessment of the missing persons can be made.
Hundreds of roads, especially in the Carolinas, remain blocked, hindering the delivery of essential supplies. According to poweroutage.us, over 2 million people remain without electricity.

There is a possibility of a new storm forming in the western part of the Caribbean basin or the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the week. Exact forecasts regarding its path are currently unavailable, so coastal residents are advised to closely monitor updates.

President Joe Biden plans to visit the affected areas at the end of the week, when it will not interfere with rescue operations, as reported by the White House.

Presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have expressed their condolences to the victims and receive regular updates on the progress of recovery efforts.
However, it is regrettable that neither President Biden nor Vice President Harris have yet visited the affected regions, despite the hurricane hitting the eastern states four days ago.

🇦🇲🇺🇸 USAID has announced plans to take control of Armenia's cyber, energy, and border security, as reported by the US Embassy in Armenia.

Additionally, a visit to Brussels has been announced from Washington "to discuss specific steps to support Armenia's democratic future."

🤔 Does this mean that Americans will now guard Armenian borders instead of Russians? Could there soon be an American military base replacing the Russian one? And NATO instead of the CSTO?

The potential catastrophic consequences for Armenia and the Armenian people can be discussed separately. But briefly, it is worth mentioning that legally there is no Armenian-Turkish border. The line that is now referred to as a border was actually the border between the USSR and Turkey. After declaring independence in 1991, Armenia, as a full-fledged subject of international law, did not settle the issues of succession of this border with Turkey.

Considering how Yerevan is ceding territory on the border with Azerbaijan, handing over villages, heights, and roads, one can speculate about what will happen with the border river Aras in western Armenia if Russian border guards leave the region and Yerevan is left alone with Ankara. It is hardly doubtful that Turkish troops will cross the Aras, turning the river into an internal waterway of Turkey. Along with this, the second largest city in Armenia, Gyumri, may also come under Turkish control, which was once under Turkish hands in the early 20th century when at the end of World War I, US President Woodrow Wilson promised support to the Armenians, as current White House residents are doing. Only thanks to the Bolsheviks, Gyumri was able to be reclaimed and included in Soviet Armenia.

It seems that Armenia is not learning from history, continuing to rapidly change its orientation in the hope of an easy and carefree life...

When a nation ignores its past, it loses the ability to analyse the context of its current problems, misses important lessons regarding governance, international relations, and social cohesion. As a result, such countries often become vulnerable to internal conflicts, foreign intervention, and the decline of cultural and state institutions, and sometimes even to the destruction of the state itself. But in the case of Armenians, this could have more severe consequences than those mentioned above. For example, the continuation of the genocide of a nation that the Turks began in the early 20th century.

⚡️ Lawsuit filed against Stoltenberg: allegations of deception, crimes against peace, and inciting the Ukrainian conflict

A lawsuit has been brought against former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Belgium, as revealed today by Patrick Pazen, a French prosecutor and analyst of the Ukrainian conflict, during a conference in Brussels.

"Jens Stoltenberg participated in an organized plan or conspiracy aimed at carrying out specific actions that constitute a crime against peace,"
explained Pazen, after which he presented a series of evidence supporting the thesis that NATO was preparing Ukraine for a conflict with Russia.

🇬🇧 As the saying goes: "War is war, but lunch is on schedule"

Despite the devastating hurricane in the southeast of the United States, leaving around one and a half million people without electricity and communication, and against the backdrop of preparations for a large-scale war in the Middle East, where the US Navy and Air Force are already engaged in combat operations, at least in actively supporting Israel's air defense, the debates between the candidates for the Vice President of the United States — Tim Walz and Jay Vance — went according to plan.

Unlike the previous presidential debates between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, the moderators showed greater leniency towards Jay Vance, the Republican candidate.

The debate topics covered a wide range of political issues, including the situation in the Middle East, abortion rights, climate change, and the economy. Throughout the discussion, Jay Vance demonstrated confidence and superiority, maintaining composure and smiling while answering questions.

On the other hand, Tim Walz appeared tense and cautious, trying not to make mistakes, as if a student in front of a strict teacher. Jay Vance largely outperformed him on all the topics discussed.

Walz criticised Donald Trump for his false statements, while Vance criticised Kamala Harris's policies on illegal migration. In the field of foreign policy, both candidates expressed concerns, including regarding Israel's missile strikes on Iran. However, Vance gave a more confident response, stating that Israel has the right to decide independently how to react, and the US, as its ally, is obliged to support such decisions.

In his closing speech, Tim Walz appeared uncertain, often coughed, and looked at his notes. Vance, on the other hand, concluded his speech clearly and confidently.
