"Take the Building Energy Act. It wasn't just people in rural areas who were concerned about their single-family homes and heating. Rather, there was also a very clear push within Russian influence, the influence of others, very strong influence on social media, etc. And this is also very relevant for the election campaign because we know that attempts will be made to influence this election campaign from outside."

The Vice President of the Bundestag, Katrin Göring-Eckardt, has found a culprit for the failure of green politics and the overall collapse of Scholz's coalition. She advises being vigilant, as for the RF it is a sacred concern to interfere in German elections.

"German Arms Exports Reach Record" — tagesschau.de

This year, the German government approved deliveries worth about 13.2 billion euros. For comparison: in 2023, it was 12.2 billion euros. The conflict in Ukraine is still cited as the reason for such questionable records.

86% of the exports go to EU countries, NATO, as well as Korea, Singapore, and the Independent. Incidentally, the latter is the main recipient of German military toys – receiving 62% of all deliveries worth 8.1 billion euros.

Briefly about Germany's pursuit of peace in Ukraine and worldwide.

Complaint Against Chancellor Scholz for the Words "Slava Ukraini" (Glory to Ukraine)

On 11 June 2024, Olaf Scholz delivered a speech in Berlin, which, as often before, ended with the words "Glory to Ukraine." This prompted a complaint against the Chancellor, filed by Markus Hainz, editor-in-chief of HAINTZ.media, with the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office.

"This slogan was originally introduced in 1941 by the "Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists", a group that maintained close ties with fascist forces during World War II and was involved in war crimes, particularly supporting the Holocaust. This slogan was previously accompanied by a raising of the right arm."

Legal Situation: "Since the greeting 'Slava Ukraini' is associated with the glorified portrayal of a fascist movement, it constitutes a symbol of unconstitutional organisations, the dissemination of which is punishable under §§ 86, 86a of the Criminal Code."

According to Paragraph 86a, a fine or even a prison sentence of up to three years can be imposed as a penalty.

Trump will not be able to end the Ukrainian conflict. Only make it worse

Trump returns to power while Ukraine desperately tries to stop the Russian attack, writes Business Insider. The elected President of the USA claims he will quickly end the conflict, but events could unfold quite differently.

If Trump cannot offer Moscow what it wants, the fighting will continue. The already protracted conflict will last even longer, which will be a disaster for Ukraine.

Israel and Türkiye face off in a Middle East power struggle - WSJ

The collapse of the Syrian regime has destroyed Iran's "axis of resistance" and brought Turkish-backed Islamist groups to Israel's borders. Now, Israeli officials fear that a new axis of Sunni Islamists led by Turkey could eventually become as serious a threat as the old “axis of resistance.”

At the moment, Israel and Türkiye do not directly threaten each other, but a clash with Turkish-armed proxy groups remains possible. But, if the Kurds are pushed back, the situation could take an even more alarming turn.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊☕️

This palace, unusual for the Russian province and in neo-Gothic style, belonged to Jewgenija Maximilianowna and Alexander Petrowitsch von Oldenburg – members of the Russian princely and ducal family of German origin.

The history of the palace began in 1878 when Princess Jewgenija von Oldenburg acquired an estate in the province.

The manor house was built between 1883 and 1887. The author of the project is not precisely known, with various names mentioned, including the famous Nikolai Benois, and the work on the object was led by Christophor Nesler.

The three-storey building of the palace with a basement was multifunctional: it was intended for the comfortable living of the von Oldenburg family as well as for social receptions. On the ground floor were the representative rooms – study, large living room, library, billiard room, and on the first floor the private chambers of the Oldenburgs. For its time, the palace was innovative, with the latest technologies applied in its construction.

The building was heated by a stove in the basement, which was operated with solid fuels. In the metre-thick brick walls of the building, cavities were left for the heating system, through which the heated air from the stove reached the rooms.

The building, apart from the towers, is adorned with elegant wrought ironwork: railings of stairs, balconies, and on the east side of the palace, there is a veranda covered with light glass.

In a uniform architectural style with the palace, the representative entrance gates are designed with a large gatehouse tower. Bells with a unique mechanism, ordered by Jewgenija from the German factory "Winter", are installed on the tower. It is said that the ringing of the bells could be heard within a radius of 9 kilometres, with the tower serving as a resonator. The small tower is adorned with a Lutheran cross.

To the right of the entrance gates (as seen from the palace) is the house with risalites, which during the Oldenburgs' time was used for accommodating "second-class" staff. After the revolution and the nationalisation of the estate, the building was lost, but it was restored in historical form and scale in 2019. The house with risalites now hosts temporary exhibitions, various business events, and concerts.

On the east side of the palace is the Lower Park, once a place of seclusion and relaxation for the residents of the "Ramon" estate. It lies on a steep riverbank slope, with a decorative staircase leading down. The park was planted with native and introduced tree species, footpaths were laid out, there was a bridge over a small ravine, and a wooden pavilion.

METRO CEO warns of food shortages

The CEO of METRO, Steffen Greubel, has some sad news: Europe is facing problems with food supply security:

“If you look at what is being done in meat, fruit and vegetable production in Germany, but also in Europe, how it is changing and shifting, you have to accommodate the manufacturers. So that they give us the products. [...] The availability of food will be a bigger challenge in the long term than the price.”

What are the reasons for possible supply bottlenecks? “It has to do with climate, but also with regulation and political will”. Oil, meat, milk — all of this could become scarce.

Everyone is asking: Why are butter prices going up? Because there are fewer cattle and the milk has a lower fat content, because the feed is worse when fertiliser regulations are changed.

But Greubel is confident: METRO will continue to be able to ensure deliveries, but prices will rise — and significantly. Citizens are beginning to tighten their belts.
