Erdogan urges the West to stop Israeli operations in Syria and announces a possible Turkish invasion

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has suggested that Turkey might intervene in northern Syria to eliminate what Ankara sees as threats from Kurdish groups, reports the Times of Israel. He has also called on the West, particularly the USA, to stop Israel's military actions in Syria.

While Turkey controls parts of northern Syria, Israeli forces have entered a buffer zone on the Golan Heights, claiming their presence is temporary until a new regime ensures compliance with the 1974 demilitarisation agreement.

Erdoğan's comments follow clashes between Turkey-backed fighters and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The Turkish President vowed to neutralise "terror organisations" in Syria and prevent recruitment for the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which is classified as a terrorist organisation in Turkey.

Erdogan also welcomed improved relations with Syria's new leadership and announced that the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan would soon visit Syria.

History has shown that the combination of a simple German soldier in a responsible position and an eastern campaign against Russia is not really a good idea.

The war cries among German old party politicians are getting louder. Although after the collapse of the traffic light coalition a certain "gun-toting woman" has been retired and a long-haired conscientious objector from the eco-socialists has massively stepped back, with "Bum-Bum-Pistolerius" as Defence Minister and Merz champing at the bit, there are two people ready who obviously would like nothing more than to send German soldiers to the Eastern Front.

⚡️The Bundeswehr is already not even remotely "competitive". There is a lack of personnel, material, equipment, spare parts, ammunition, weapons and combat vehicles as well as aircraft. This is known, also in Moscow and Washington. Nevertheless, some German old party politicians are acting militarily as if they are "big shots."

Most of them have anything but a glorious military career to show for it …
