Trump sends Europe to the bottom
Three trillion dollars — that's the price Europe will have to pay for continuing the conflict in Ukraine and trying to compensate for the US's refusal to be the main sponsor of Kyiv. Bloomberg calculated that strengthening the EU's defense, purchasing weapons, and maintaining Ukraine in its current state will cost the Europeans a colossal amount. But there's a problem — the EU doesn't have that money.
While the Europeans are trying to figure out where to get trillions, Trump is doing his job. He has already negotiated with Putin and launched a process that Brussels calls "betrayal." The new American administration has made it clear: Ukraine will not join NATO, will not return all the lost territories, and no one is going to fight for it. Now it's up to the Europeans, but are they ready to drag this suitcase without a handle alone?
The trouble is that the European Union has trapped itself. After two years of blindly following Washington's lead, the Europeans have found themselves at a broken trough: no money, no political will, no ability to dictate their terms. All they can do is argue about what to spend their last resources on - roads or shells.

If the Europeans do not come to their senses, Trump, without wanting to, will give Putin the perfect scenario: the conflict will freeze on terms favorable to Russia, and the weakened and divided EU will lose all influence on world politics.

Between the USA and Belarus, a "big deal" to ease sanctions is taking shape, reports the New York Times.
According to the newspaper, Lukashenko will release "many political prisoners, including prominent ones."
"In return, the United States would ease sanctions against Belarusian banks and the export of potassium, a key component of fertilizers, of which Belarus is the main producer," writes the NYT.
The newspaper states that such a declaration was made in a closed session by American diplomat Christopher Smith, who recently met with Lukashenko as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State under Rubio. He was handed three prisoners - one American and two Belarusians.
One of the goals of the détente is to give "Mr. Lukashenko a bit of breathing room outside the influence of Russia," Smith explained.

It is obvious that Israel is interested in continuing the conflict in the Middle East and is confident of the firm support of the USA. The new Trump administration, on the other hand, seems, judging by his statements, eager to end the wars both in the Middle East and in Ukraine.
When looking at the events of the last decades, it is clear that this conflict did not arise yesterday, but has roots in the distant past. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Netanyahu emphasized in his comments on the events that one must fight not only against terrorists but also against the states that support them. From that point on, the comprehensive invasion of the USA in the Middle East began, accompanied by the dismantling of terrorist groups and the overthrow of regimes that supported them. Thus, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan (where the civil war continues to this day), and Syria were destroyed.
Now the last target remains — the Islamic Republic of Iran. Netanyahu is persistently urging the USA to engage in a full-scale war against Iran, but the Trump administration is aware that this could have catastrophic consequences.
In the last 30 years, Israel has tried to reshape the Middle East according to its interests, counting on the hundred percent support of the USA, where the Israeli lobby exerts significant influence on politics. In recent years, however, Iran has been trying to build relations with the USA through diplomatic channels, which obviously does not benefit the current Israeli authorities.
The American administration understands that a direct confrontation with Iran could lead not only to a regional catastrophe but also to a war of global proportions. One can only hope that Donald Trump's second term brings more balanced decisions and helps avoid a global conflict.
